I think it is because he wouldn't necessarily be "new blood" with his attachment to Miles and Saban. Just my two cents.

frank wilson may be a very good head coach, but his hypothetical announcement would be underwhelming. Obvious comparisons to the Johnny jones hiring by alleva would be drawn, and it would be viewed as a failure before he ever coached a game.

No. Jimbo wouldn't even be 2 anymore. Prob 4-5 down the list.

You make a great point in that there are a going to be a lot of really high paying and good jobs probably open up.

LSU is going to have to pay through the nose to get a coach this offseason.

Not really. The SEC isn't what it used to be. You have Bama, then a bunch of average.

Serious Question: Why would Herman be #2? Who is creating this list? Do they watch football games or just live in the past?

Herman is CLEARLY #1

Yep. The SEC had a hell of a run but they're only head and shoulders above everyone else in the "crazy fanbases" category.

ND is not firing BK after one bad year. They were 2 plays at Stanford from being the CFP last year.

ND isn't LSU and they tend to give coaches more time especially when the coach is the most successful they have had in 20 years. One down year is not going to get him fired.

all the people saying herman won't come, are y'all talking about the same tom herman that agreed to take USCe job before backing out? If UT and A&m keep winning, he is on the table. Just need UH to lose to.

If Petrino would leave Louisville after they rescued him from the scrap heap, it would just confirm what everyone already knows, he's a POS. Ask his former good friend/HC Tubby about him. Ask his former Atlanta Falcons about him. Ask his former AD at Pigville about him. He's won a lot of games. What has he won, title wise?

for people that do not understand, Jimbo is the safest hire that the administration could make.

is he even gonna listen after how last year unfolded? remains to be seen
