Here's what BK is getting away with no one has mentioned

LSU took USC & OM completely going brain dead in order to win those games. Those were 2 blowouts for those teams had injuries and a few calls and miracles going LSU way. This guy should have a 4-5 record right now. I think if most realized that he would definitely be on the HOT SEAT or fired by now from those above the AD.

If he doesn’t hit the portal hard this off season his seat will be scorching hot by the end of next year. Next year might be our toughest opener in the BK era and we all know how our first games have been under him.

Now do all other teams. Teams win nail-biters and barely escape. Who knew? Alabama barely escaped USCe and UGA at end. Should have 2 more loses. Oregon should have lost to Boise State and Ohio State. Am I doing this right?

Right, LSU was lucky to win both those game. 4th and 5 conversion and missed FG and LSU could very easily be 4-5

We beat Ole Myth, pure and simple. Winning the South Carolina game was a miracle. Kelly needs to win out and get that recruiting class in here.

Everyone stop with this “HOT SEAT” shite! BK is not on the “hot seat” nor will he ever be. He has a GUARANTEED $100MM contract. You can’t be on the “hot seat” with that contract. Our dumbass AD allowed this to happen. He is on the “hot seat” and should be fired after this year.

I get the impression Kelly does not want to build this team through the portal. We have a lot of lumps coming our way with that approach. Not saying it can’t be done, it just takes time.

Because building through the portal is not sustainable and too risky on a year to year basis.
Kelly doesn't appear to be afraid to use the portal, but I think the philosphy is to build foundation and depth through recruiting and then later fill in holes with the portal.
There's only so much NIL money to go around and if you spend it all on one or two big name portal players for one season and those players don't work out, you are hurting yourself further down the line when that money could have been better used on a recruiting class.
