It's not a ranking of week 1 performances, although those performances revealed useful things about some teams (LSU, Oregon, Ole Miss in particular for top teams).

TO be honest, I would have had LSU ranked at #1 in the preseason poll already and nothing would have changed after this weekend. Of course, my preseason poll has had LSU ranked #1 every year since I was told by my dad, when I was four years old, that I was an LSU Tiger. (Sorry. I can't help it, and I have no intention of changing it.)

The new poll hasn’t came out yet baw, probably tomorrow since it’s Labor Day weekend. SMU/FSU are playing today as well.
