Sounds like they wasted some significant airtime.

I was listening to the replay thinking "I can't believe someone hasn't let them know this isn't possible"

You'd think Bama was still undefeated with how they're being talked about. To be fair, they've made the playoff/BCSNCG with a loss for the past few years, except 2013. A second loss will put them out completely.

In fact, it's impossible for any 3 teams to tie for the West at 7-1, since no group of 3 has only lost to each other. Bama's loss to Ole Miss makes the LSU/Bama/A&M tie impossible.

Anyone think Tennessee has a chance to upset Bama today?

I'm not predicting the upset, but there's a good chance that game goes down to the wire. Bama hasn't looked good at home, so it could be interesting.

What about this scenario?

Ohio State at 13-0
Utah at 13-0
Baylor at 12-0
Clemson at 13-0
alabama at 12-1

alabama might be a 1-loss team and NOT make it in this scenario.

They have a home loss to ole miss. That loss looks even worse now. They should auto get in w one loss.

no, the narrative is that the loss was self-inflicted and they have improved since then, therefore it was really a win, just like the GOTC...

He also said today if ND runs the table, they're in over any 1-loss SEC or PAC team.

He did correctly say that the PAC is the most likely to be left out this year, though.

There's a lot of Bama hype right now.

If Kyle Allen didn't use Jeremy Johnson's eyeballs for their game against Bama, the hype wouldn't have gotten so high.

Yes. Dobbs is inconsistent, but when he's on, he can beat anyone. He's a very efficient runner, as well. If Coker has another bad game, UT will be in it late.

I agree, I feel like this could be a close game. Would love to have Bama out of it before we play them, but realize it is highly unlikely
