Herbstreit was so wrong about LSU that he had to start eating crow last week before the game was even over. I could really care less what he says. Burrow showed me that he has poise and accuracy so this stat line they keep floating around will change in a hurry and very soon

There is no way I could hate David Pollack any more. That mother trucker has NEVER said one positive thing about LSU. He is still clearly “butthurt” about his experiences in Coates Hall!

Pollack *never* has anything positive to say about LSU. He's still bitter about that 2003 LSU game. So anything he says about LSU, I take with a huge grain of salt.

Herbstreit isn't necessarily wrong. Our offensive showing wasn't that impressive, honestly. Not impressive enough to scream that LSU is back. We have work to do. Beating AU next weekend will go a long way.

I think it's just the point that it's not really fair to say "LSU is back" for sure just yet after one game. It's too small of a sample size. They look like a very good football team that don't make many mistakes and did was really able to squeeze their opponent with a suffocating defense.

We all think that Miami was a quality opponent, but we need to see what they do this week and next to get a good feel who they are as well. As others have said, beat Auburn at Jordan-Hare and the praise will roll in. People get too worked up over what these analysts say this early in the season.

17-10. 34-13. Pollack has hated us since.

I don't understand how someone can hate a show and the people on it so much and continue to watch it every week. It's all over this board about basically every football or sports-related TV/Radio/Paper/Website outlet. I especially don't understand getting furious with anger at someone whose job is primarily to entertain viewers with a side of trying to sort of accurately predict the results of games when that person is wrong in their predictions, like there's some kind of cabal out to get LSU. I'm living proof that you can't get mad at/hate these talking heads if you just don't watch or listen to them. My favorite is people that get PISSED at Finebaum. Motherfricker, you're the idiot for watching or listening to that in the first place.

We are certainly back in the discussion nationally. We’re getting a hell of a lot more talk this week than last week.

That happens when you beat up on the eighth ranked team in the country on a neutral field. Whether or not polls are important is not the point. They are talked about and used as a measuring stick. The higher we get in them the more we will be talked about.

Sadly people have a problem with that, he followed it up by saying if they beat Auburn he will essentially eat crow

Not really.... LSU is not on par with Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, etc....

I know. I just think it's funny that the same people who claim that we don't know how good LSU or Miami are after one game are saying that Auburn and Washington are both great teams. Bias plays a huge role in what people consider a team proving itself. A lot of people don't want to belive that LSU is good. That's why this narrative is so prominant.

LSU is back in the discussion IMO. They're in that group of teams that if they can get another big win against their next quality, they will be in the top 10 and a possible playoff team.

Yes. Sometimes people are wrong, sometimes they are right. This isn't hard.

We took a big jump in the national picture and people are kind of taking notice of us with that performance, but it was just 1 game. A big game and a very nice win at that, but still just one game. People went on and on about how brutal our schedule is all offseason. Why would we act like we've won the SEC after winning week 1?

So they were right last week until they were wrong. Got it.

I just don't see LSU as a nationally discussed team. They are not a playoff team this year imo but they should be 10-15. I guess my parameters and yours are different.

I don't think LSU is on the level of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, or Oklahoma. Those teams are more well rounded than LSU and will be in the discussion all year for the playoffs.

Auburn is a great measuring stick. However I would bet everything that if LSU does go to Auburn and win, there will still be people on this board being really negative.
Also Pollock will NEVER get behind LSU. He is just an angry little bitch when it comes to LSU.

Meh. If they said “Sell” because LSU is a fraud, then you have something to rant about. A “Hold” until next week is pretty reasonable. Even if LSU loses a close one at Auburn, they will get respect. No one is talking Washington down after they gave them four tough quarters.

We know they were wrong so far - they all picked Miami to beat LSU. And LSU hasn't looked that good against a ranked team in the 1st game since 2011. We looked more back than not by completely dominating on defense and special teams, but the Auburn game will tell a lot.
