Help me understand Kramer Robertson's AB last night

Granted, I was late to the season this year and didn't watch enough to really get to know him as a player. But, I've probably seen about 30 or so games so far. Robertson always strikes me as having some really smart at-bats and seems to know what the pitcher is thinking. Is that a correct read on him?

If so, what was up last night? Granted, everyone is going to have a bad night, but that dude on the mound for FSU was in Kramer's head all night. Even his mom was giving him shite at swinging at that high pitch at his 3rd at bat.

No doubt he turns it around on Monday but just wondering if anyone saw something I didn't.

The Freshman from FSU was good. It can be hard to pick up a baseball flying at you 80+ miles an hour sometimes. He had a rough night. It happens...

Wrong cleats. He'll switch to the air Jordan's and be all good

He's swinging for the fences instead of just trying to get on

3rd and 4th AB, that was definitely the case.

It seems to me - again I haven't watched him enough - but he's probably not used to a pitcher shutting him down. He was visibly pissed after that 3rd AB

Kramer goes from looking like a smart batter to popping it up every at bat. I swear I've seen him pop it up 50+ times this year.

He swung at balls that were high, but that pitchers change up was tough on right handers. Both Kramer and Watson were ofers against him, and they are decent hitters.

The kid had a change up that dropped 6-8 inches and was throwing it for strikes all night. Meaning it was starting out around our hitters mid-section/belt and dropping into the zone. He mixed it well with high fastballs to get our guys to chase.

Simple pitching strategy really.

He was pressing. He normally is smarter at the plate than what he showed last night.

Believe he was pressing last night. Expect to see a more relaxed player Monday night

He was knocking the cover off the ball in the regionals and especially the Super against Mississippi State.

Was hoping he could keep it going for the CWS. Hopefully he just had an off night and can get his mojo back for the rest of the tournament.

Several LSU batters were biting on the fastball above the zone.

He swung at ball 4 twice and they were both at his head level. Just a series of poor ab's

The FSU pitcher had very good location on his offspeed pitches and had the batters out of their comfort zone. When you're looking for a changeup and you get a 86-88 mph fastball with some movement you'll almost always swing late.

They said in the game that they were pitching to him reverse what he normally sees, and it had him confused. Whatever the hell that means.

Nah, probably because you made some stupid comments like, Kramer's frustrated because he's probably not used to a pitcher shutting him down. Come on, man, a baseball player not used to being shut down?
