I've been to a number of LSU BB games. I live here in BR. Call it what you want, but it is what it is.

I am. I've missed two games at the Box: Villanova (Saturday) and today's game. I've sat in 101 or 102 for all of those games.

Anytime someone has been out of line with an inappropriate remark, they have been called out for it. Usually with an "ohhhhhh...too far..."

Has anyone complained about the vulgarity? Hell the discussion about today's game was about a student who was keeping it PG...

Usually once or twice in the Friday Night games...

Don't think I've even heard it during a weekday game, maybe once a game during the other weekend series.

By out of line, we're talking things that one would see/hear in a PG 13 movie...

The only times it may get somewhat vulgar are Friday nights...the students have had plenty of time to get "warmed up" by then, if you get my drift.

And even then if someone goes too far, they'll get called out on it.

why won't people stop bitching about the heckling? this always comes up. for the most part, things are kept in check. if you have a serious problem with it, I suggest you acquire a sense of humor and live a happy life. drink a beer, get some arse. just quit bitchin about everyone else tryin to have a good time.

AT that point it's already been said. And if it seems to happen at least every Friday, the calling out is not working in thee long run.

You do realize that there are different people saying these things, right?? We're not talking about the same selective group here...

For the record, I've only heard someone get called out once. It's usually pretty clean, just stuff meant to get inside the RF's head and make the other students laugh.

And the adults out there too...the lady behind us was having a great time. She was getting in on the cheers, even shared her cookie cake with us...

In the end, I don't get why this is all of a sudden a new "problem"...

R4 and R5 were like this for years...now its 101 and 102...

I agree with you.

And I know what you mean about the adults - there were some older guys joining the heckling on Friday night!

I am generally amused by stupid people, and stupid people tend to be the hecklers. I am amazed at how UNFREAKING CREATIVE our hecklers are. Twenty seven varieties of "You suck" gets really old.

The two criteria for world class heckling are intelligence and being good-natured. Harass a guy with a smile on your face. Say stuff that makes semi-intelligent people smile or laugh. If the player in question does something good cheer him on with back-handed compliments. Make him nervous to make a mistake.

I can't stand the classless angry asses with the drool and the extra hot dog in the back pocket. They remind me of Carnies.
