I'm sorry that Matt couldn't make it work here. He and his family like it here and I thought he did a good job his first year, when he was actually allowed to do it.

So you wanted the continuity of a HC who can’t trust the OC and an OC that doesn’t respect the HC? Why would any LSU fan want that for next season?

All I know is we finally broke a long run against Bama (the longest in a decade) and it was out of the wildcat on a fake jet sweep to Gage. I appreciated the hell out of that.

I won’t waste words over the why’s of this whole matter. It sucks it didn’t work, whatever the reasons and I wish the guy and his family well.

I think Canada did great on his first year on the job and he should considering how much he was being paid. Imagine him with an elite QB like Brennan that he can develop? I can only imagine now since he is practically out the door. I hope we can get a good OC to replace him.

My feelings were similar. But I did note the lack of Red Zone success this past season.
Hopefully this improves with the next OC.
