For what it's worth, I am not joking. Honestly thought Tiger fans deserved a heads up. Crime in Nashville has been the talk of the town for several months.

Lol, Nashville is probably the safest major city in the southeast. On top of that Bridgestone is off of Broadway, a straight tourist area.. dude is tripping

The guy who was shot tonight near Titan's Stadium is a stone's throw from Broadway.

I appreciate it. Please come back and post if the crime ever gets controlled. I’d love to take my kids there one day. They’re going to be very bummed about not going this weekend.

A guy in town on business was murdered right off of Broadway right by the country music HOF last year. Broadway being the tourist trap it is makes it even more attractive to criminals

if it's the gas station I'm thinking of, no it isn't. And Nissan stadium is across the river from Broadway

Scary times here

Some say it’s due to all the gentrification

A recent Belmont graduate who was a professional singer and musician was approached outside his house by four kids ages 12-16. They asked for his wallet and car keys. He gave them his wallet but refused his car keys. They shot him dead.

I'm not saying this wasn't horrible and tragic, but this was like a month ago and old boy lived in an extremely sketchy area

Another person was shot tonight at a gas station by the Titan's stadium.

Again, another sketchy area and the victim only got shot because he tried to fight the car jackers. Also, you fail to mention that he wasn't killed and that his "nice" car was an Altima. Not saying there's anything wrong with Altimas, but your OP presents it like he was driving a Lexus or something. I don't think the majority of people on here would identify a Nissan Altima as a "nice" car.

What are you trying to pull here? Nashville is no more dangerous than any other city it's size and it's certainly a lot safer than Baton Rouge or New Orleans.

Right. I'm glad you called this out because I was about to. That's like saying the area around the Superdome is a stone's throw from the CBD.

seriously, that gas station (I'm assuming it's the shell) is a good mile and half to two miles from Broadway , not to mention that side of the river is right by section 8 housing.

If you are brave enough to go literally ANYWHERE in the French quarter. You will be just fine in nashville.

We’re on our way right now, and no amount of warnings about potential crime is going to prevent me from supporting this team who are hurting and under massive amount of media scrutiny.

We were at the SEC tournament last time it was in Nashville and we thought it was a very nice city, so I find this report quite surprising.

I suppose St. Louis, where it was held last year and will be again next, is MUCH safer.....

Literally every reasonably big city in the southeast has a lot of crime. If anyone is deterred from going to sporting events in a big city because crime happened within a 3 mile radius of the stadium, then I wonder why those people ever leave home.

And drugs follow hookers. 12-16 year olds are probably on major drugs.
