Headline in the Advocate: (How LSU basketball proved it can compete with anybody)

How far LSU basketball has fallen when a sports writer with the Baton Rouge paper strikes up a headline that reads (LSU basketball can compete with anybody).
Took the L against Bama
Took the L against A&M
Took the L against Ole Miss
Took the L against Missouri
Took the L against Vandy.
Squeaked by Arkansas for their only conference win so far.
Miss me with all this moral victory bullshite.
McNeese State lost to Bama by 8 points. How many American Press sports reporters are cheering about McNeese being able to compete with anybody????!
Someone make the bleeding stop.....or do we just sit here and cheer on Mediocrity!!!?

LSU has proven consistently that it will support a winning program. You see it with baseball, women's basketball and even gymnastics. Why should fans waste their time going to mens bball games to watch a shite product? I can watch it much easier from my house, where I can simply change the channel when I've had enough.

LSU basketball has almost zero local coverage.
To my knowledge the only full time committed to LSU hoops is someone named Toyloy Brown with the Advocate and he seems to be an entry level reporter with minimal experience as a beat writer.
Now I will say that the person who writes the article does not write the headlines so sometimes the headline can totally misrepresent the article, I can recall the Hammer and the Nail Headline that pissed Miles off so badly after a home loss to Florida as on of those.

This LSU team is hardly mediocre; it's just wretched, not unlike McPuff's first season or Johnny Jones' last. In fact Saturday's Bama game was simply a redux of a game at a vastly superior Kentucky team back in 2017.
