BH first 3 passes he threw Saturday were high. Granted Dupree dropped one of those high passes but it was still an easy throw to sideline and it was high as hell.

So BH does fault some of the blame

Would you take Harris or Jennings at QB? What about Harris or Jefferson? Harris vs Lee?

Mett sucked arse his first year too.

Hell I truly appreciate Jefferson and Lee at this point. Remember when we just COULDN'T WAIT to move on from them?

While Harris and Jennings blow, you couldn't pay me to take Jefferson or Lee back either. Jefferson would at least win OOC games but he was utter shite versus the SEC for the most part.

The only reason Scott would be better than Harris at this point is because Les and Cam haven't had time to ruin his game yet.

etling as a true freshman at purdue was probably better than Harris a Junior at LSU.

Damn straight.

His numbers were not bad.

The key thing is that Purdue was (and is) absolutely horrible.

They had no O-line ... zero.

(So, Etling should be used to not having any protection.)

My text to my son-in-law after the Wisc go ahead field goal was:
"It's over...I have zero confidence in Brandon Harris".

I never have and I never will. Dude is just not a gamer. I know he gives it his all and I appreciate that but he's mentally weak and plays scared.

I seem to recall hearing this same damn thing about JJ from 2009 thru 2011.

But he can't throw those...starting out with anything other than a throw it as far as he can and let someone run under it, just won't work

I'm all in on Lindsey Scott. This is the year of the freshman quarterback. The kid is brilliant, got offers from Harvard

No, he's not brilliant. He is a little bit above average in intelligence, as evidenced by his 25 on his ACT. A 36 is a perfect score on the ACT. My daughter got a 34. Harvard was not the least bit interested. And they turn down about half the folks who get 36's.

Harvard was interested in Scott because he's a ball player, not because of his 25 on his ACT.

Are you hearing yourself man? "Purdue had no O-line" but you think that O-line on Saturday was good? I think some of y'all need to go back and watch that game again, I mean BH couldn't even get off a fricking snap before he had someone in his face. Dupre stopped his route on the one over the middle. Cam has him rolling out to his left to make throws.

I'm not saying Harris is a world beater but he's better than the garbage coaching around him. Like it or not, he's still our best option at QB but if the O-line doesn't get fixed it won't matter.

Yep - that's what he said. He also indicated that Harris shows out at practice and in scrimmages but it just doesn't translate to Saturdays. That's the gist of what he was trying to say anyway.

Scrimmages are a lot less stressful when you know the defense isn't going to hurt you.

When is Les going to realize that practice does not always translate to games?

We need to start Harris off every game with easier short passes (screens, 5 yd hooks & outs, etc)
And watch screens hit the ground, 5 yard hook and outs sail out of bounds???

Yes ... Etling put up as good or better numbers while younger at fricking Purdue with no o-line, no Fournette, no Guice, no stud WRs, nothing.

Harris' lack of accuracy on even simple throws with no pressure ... it's just not going to get better or else it already would have.

A 60% passer would've won LSU the Wisc game.
That start by Harris prolly killed any hope of opening up an air game.

You mean like Jimbo did last night with his RS Freshman QB... I kept saying that last night. Why don't we run those high percentage completion plays.

What makes you think Harris would be better at Purdue? They have had some pretty good QB's at that school.

We're stuck with what we have. Run all of them out there on Saturday and see who wants the job.

I can't tell you how many times Harris threw off his back foot on Saturday.
