Etling couldn't cut it at Purdue, what's makes you think he can in this shite offense?

I hate this line of thinking. Etling didn't have 4-5 star potential NFL first/second rounders at WR at Purdue. Etling didn't have LF and DG in the running game at Purdue. Purdue likely didn't have as good an oline. The QB who took over didn't carry Purdue to glory. If the offense is being held back by qb play then make the change. Unfortunately, I, like most on this board, don't think it's only the qb that's the problem. It's a lack of design in the plays combined with predictable play calling that allows the opposing defense to T-off on the oline.

Also the same shite we heard about Jefferson.

Only one constant variable here: the guy in the white hat

I find it completely laughable that anyone thinks the backup QB has been coached any better than the current QB. We've seen this carousal before, the ineptness and incompetence comes from coaching.
BH may not be the best QB in the league, but the kid is, or was, talented and we're seeing the same mistakes that were made by QB's that preceded him.

Agreed. He's putting it on Harris, but he doesn't even put Harris in the right position to achieve success.

In Miles's defense (which i dont intend to come to often, because i wanted him gone a couple years ago), the reporter asked at what point does miles have to consider playing someone else at QB

Miles went on to say that Brandon is coming along, that he makes amazing throw in practice and scrimmages and that he's just have trouble bringing it into a live game. He said they think they can get him there BUT "he doesnt have a lifetime to do it, there are other QBs capable."

I dont think he was throwing Brandon under the bus, the question was specifically about Brandon. It sounded like he was trying to do everythinG BUT throw him under the bus, but he did have to admit that the leash is getting shorter

But I agree that Miles isnt putting him in the best position to achieve success

Miles didn't throw the ball straight to the guy wearing red #14.

I've often thought that the kid looks scared and lost in full contact/full speed game situations. He just looks like he has forgotten everything he knows about football.

Yes, yes he would.

Mett just could hit the throws to extend drives, and Harris cannot. It's that simple.

The offense with Mett is even overplayed. We basically looked like we do now on 1st and 2nd down and then Mett and a once in a generation WR tandem pulled something out of their arse on 3rd and long. That type of talent on one team will always be the exception. If we're expecting that on a yearly basis then we're fricked. Those guys were special.

And nobody remembers Mett's first year. He was being called Jordan Jefferson with no running ability. It was ugly.

The ONLY reason Miles allowed for it in his second year was because he knew our defense was young that year (and I assume he didn't quite have his grip on Cam's playcalling just yet). We went 5-3 in the SEC with truly generational type talent on offense. I dare say we didn't utilize it to its potential.

I don't care who we start so long as it isn't Brandon Harris. How we continue to strike out at QB year after year is beyond me.

I would much rather give Scott a try than Etling.

Etling is an INT machine.

If you were a stud QB, would you want to play for Les Miles?

Etling the qb that is more prototypical for LSU success.

False. His name is not Matt.

If I was a stud QB and saw all the talent they had, they'd be up there. While I don't like Cameron, he did work with Drew Brees, Joe Flacco and Philip Rivers so he's got experience. Then again, this might just be the homer in me, so who knows.

He doesn't have a lifetime to do it

Let Harris finish drive'n this train wreck,

at the end of the season (or sooner) LSU will get rid of all of them.

Harris, Jennings, Lee and Jefferson were top 10 QB's in the rankings. Bart had no stars and Wisky found what he did best and made it work well enough to beat LSU. BOTTOM LINE!!!!!!

That doesn't take away the fact that Harris sucks too

Would you take Harris or Jennings at QB? What about Harris or Jefferson? Harris vs Lee?

Mett sucked arse his first year too.

Hell I truly appreciate Jefferson and Lee at this point. Remember when we just COULDN'T WAIT to move on from them?

I don't think this team is blowing anybody out. And if history serves us correctly Harris is going to stink so badly that Fournette will have to carry the rock 28 times to secure victory. Last season Harris had his worst games against the easiest opponents.
