He already is loved, but Dave Aranda's numbers at LSU are amazing. Keep him at all costs.

In 2 seasons at LSU, Dave has not disappointed. In 24 games, only 2 teams have scored more than 30 points (aTm '16 and State '17). 10 teams in 2 years have scored 14 or less. In 2016, 11/12 teams were held to 21 or less. In 2017, half the teams we played were held to 21 or less, but that is still good enough to win a lot of ball games. No team has scored 40 or more while he was at LSU.

It is a beautiful thing to not have to worry about the defense. I am always confident Aranda has a good scheme in place and is good with adjustments. Auburn didn't score the entire second half, which allowed us to win. Aranda has stepped up to the plate in a big way. Keep him happy here.

Part of me still can't help think what could have been last season. 3 total TD's given up in 4 losses. That is very bizarre. Almost have to try to lose. (1 to Wisc, 0 to Aub, 1 to Ala, and 1 to FLA--lost all 4).

i still don't know how aranda got some of the blame for early season struggles. deflection off of O and Canada i guess.

by far the best coach on staff.

I'm hoping he doesn't want the rollercoaster and head of state responsibilities of being a HC. Just stay in BR and get paid HC money to focus solely on his expertise. In God's name we pray...

The defense in the Mississippi State game was not good. I know we were shorthanded with defensive linemen, but allowing Fitzgerald to complete 65% of his passes isn't a good look.

Yikes

That's the only bad game he's had here and morons are ready to run him off.

I'd love to see how many of those points were setup by an offensive turnover, especially deep in our own end.

Other than a busted play, that is the only time I see him get really pissed on the sidelines.

next year's defense could be legendary like '03 or '11. obviously gotta wait for the dust to settle with recruiting, the draft and staff changes, but really looking forward to how it all comes together.

If Aranda wants to go then offer him 6 million and the head coach job. Sorry to see O go.

He is a huge reason for Alleva to keep O. Raymond as well. Both too valuable to bring in a new HC and his assts.

Running an entire program and running a defense are very different jobs. I'm not saying he couldn't be a great head coach, but his acumen as a great X's and O's DC doesn't convince me he's worth $6 million a year and the keys to LSU's program.

holy shite

I know Canada, statistically speaking, wasn't that good this year. But even this level of production last year, with that talent, and we are looking at Atlanta.
