You should be embarrassed. You have provided absolutely NO evidence that Hawthorne does a good job at announcing baseball games. Other than the typical "If you don't like it, leave." Now THAT is a mature person's attitude to incompetence!

i haven't read any of this, and I do agree that JH is gonna be here a long time and he does bleed purple and gold, bla, bla, bla... But, if you want to hear a decent announcer that is accurate, knowledgable, and can even prounounce LSU players names correctly,,, tune in to the UK audio....

"Evidence"??? Since when is the Rant a court of law? I agree that JH makes mistakes, but no one is perfect- Harry Carey made mistakes and did stupid stuff on the air, yet most Cubs fans still adore the guy and love his statue outside Wrigley Field

As I said earlier, the only defense of his poor performance is to defend his performance. This can't be done, so they resort to name calling and pulling the stupid "you couldn't do any better" and "he bleeds purple and gold" cards.

I criticize Hawthorne because I AM an LSU fan. If I didn't care what's happening in the game, then Hawthorne can screw up all he wants (and he does) and I wouldn't care.
