When Guice gets touches, we play well.

During that 3 game stretch, Guice got next to zero touches.

That's a testament to the lame play calling during that stretch. Usually when Guice touches the ball, it's in some creative way. Without the creative playbook, Guice doesn't get touches.

Just an interesting tidbit.

Yea, the offensive line getting obliterated and the defense getting worked had nothing to do with the 3 losses. It was all because 5 didn't touch the ball

Slow down big boy:

There are multiple reasons why we lost those games. This is just one of them.

Because the plays involving him are much more imaginative. Like the one he housed Saturday night.

Does Guice gain more yards than Fournette in those 3 games? Maybe so, but no reasonable fan watches those games and thinks that Guice is the answer to it all. That O-Line got straight up abused 3 straight weeks.

What about the first one where he lost 5 yards? And does the quality of opponent make a difference? I feel like it should.

Nope, it's been the fact we can't pick up any first downs in the other games, so we have no drives. If Fournette isn't tired, he's going to be in the game. If Fournette goes 4 or 5 plays and gets 2 or 3 carries, he needs to come out for a breather, and then Guice comes in. In the past few games we kept going 3 and out so Guice never came in. Guice got a few carries in those other games, and got less yards per carry than Fournette had.

I have said it for most of the season, but Guice is the best "unknown" player in the country. He would start for just about every team in the country minus a handful.

LF and Guice need to be on the field at the same time. Period.

LF running the wildcat...Travin Dural in motion for jet sweep, Guice next to LF for read option. I think we could run this play 50% of the time next year and win almost all of our games. This stretches a team laterally and makes them play assignment football. I'll take LF, Guice, Dural 1v1 every damn play.

Best of all, it is easy to execute.

He touches the ball on just about every kickoff.

To add some stats, Guice averages 8.4 YPC (397 yards on 47 carries), which would put him #1 in the NCAA for YPC. He is not included in this list because he does not meet the minimum 10 carries per game requirement.
