Well that wasn't what we were trying to accomplish. We were up 3 TDs
We were up 17-3. Giving up a field goal to make it 17-6 would have sucked

If the squib kick was such a great tactical ploy, every team would squib quick every time.

I mean you can laugh, but according to alot in this thread they believe a squib gives better chance at giving your opponent bad field position

I have no clue how we have this many people that dont understand this. The coaches screwed up this call. It is no big deal, it happens. Doesnt mean we want them fired guys Jesus

I have no clue how we have such dumb fricks who cant understand that the Kentucky KO return formation is spread much wider and therefore more open to a successful squib from our 20 than it would be from our 35.

I can't believe you think that's what's being said.

Right, like I said 3 TDs. UK hadn't done jack shite on offense, coaches were confident they could keep them from a a score at the end of the half with the def on the field, so make sure they don't get cheap points on a backed up kickoff before half. And this isn't the first squib that had been recovered by the kicking team. All things considered it was a good call, and certainly not one to gripe about our coaching on.

So you are arguing that they are not more spread out with 15 more yards of field? Do you even geometry bro?

That is what makes Les a great coach. Does the unexpected at the unexpected time. Such plays sets him apart from the most coaches and endears his players to him. Did you see the excitement that play created with the players.

The man finds a way for his team to score 10 points in 40 seconds and we as fans find fault. He deserves better fans.

I dont give a shite what they are. The only reason they didnt get the ball at the 50 is because multiple players on their team screwed up. Not because we called the perfect play

This is so ridiculous. Can I not say I like Miles and is a great coach but he got extremely lucky with this call?

Can we agree that it is a combination of factors? There is an element of luck, an element of good coaching, and an element of surprise involved.

Then why did you argue they weren't?

Again, arguing this as a bad call is arguing over 10 yards of field position for a team that hadnt accomplished shite to that point, while up 3 TDs.
