I was in the North Endzone and had a great view of it. I thought it was a perfect squib kick. It was kicked between the defenders where they had no chance to get the ball too close. We got a great roll and the Kentucky defenders in the second row weren't thinking about recovering, only blocking, and let the ball go by. Thank you very much!
IMO it was a great call.

Rex, you have got to be bi-polar. 'We played good, no we didn't we played bad. We suck, we are unbeatable. Where is little Rex? Good dog, bad dog. Is that dog poop on the carpet?' Jesus man! Pick a side and stick to it!

ahhh....don't give them a chance to set-up a proper kick-off return. Kid can't kick it through the end zone from the 20 yard line.

No you dumb shite bag. With only 44 seconds left in the half why would you risk having them bust a big return on a kickoff, especially since down by 21 points Kentucky wasn't going to go into air raid attack mode?

I assumed live during the game the miles was throwing them a curveball. They tried that goofy formation on us to open the game.
Remember when miles had JJ jump pass against UF in two consecutive years?
He takes stuff like that personal

Makes sense from the 35, not from the 20.
Easy questions for all you morons:
Where would you expect the ball to wind up after a squib kick?

How are you not getting this, it ONLY makes sense from the 20. Backed up, even NFL kickers will struggle to get it out the back of the endzone. The squib was shorter than most, and we still recovered on the UK 37, that's reasonably where you could expect a LB or other big guy to field it and be tackled immediately. Kicking it to the 15 gives it to a return specialist with a full head of steam and at least 15 more yards of open space between him and the coverage.
Just admit you made a retarded observation and stop trying to argue it to save face.

They don't get it Rex. They have no concept of what a squib kick is designed to do.
Give up yards, take away the chance of a big return. So all of these guys are okay with giving up yards after already being backed up to the 20 yard line. Basically, at best we are hoping to give UK the ball at their own 40 yard line, but more likely about their own 45 yard line to midfield.
If the squib kick was such a great tactical ploy, every team would squib quick every time. But teams rarely do it unless there are very few seconds left on the clock because you give up a lot of field position.

The return puts it there regardless due to being on the 20. The squib removes the chance they break it lose. Fair catch goes out the window down that much and with only 45 seconds on the clock. This is the exact situation for a squib kick.

Are you brain dead? Tons of coaches do this, in the exact same situation we were in. How you people are still trying to argue this rediculous point is beyond me.

Do you really think that the clock starts when the kicker kicks the ball?
NO but a slow TE fielding it wastes a lot more time than a fair catch

Really, it's makes no sense to squib from our 35 at that point in the game and with the way the game was going.
You kick normally and let your D handle the last 40 secs. Kicking from the 20 is what opens up other options whether you agree with them or not.

Yeah I'm with you on this one. I don't think anybody asked Les what he was doing on this either.. Guess just another Mad Hatter call.

Well, it was out of a timeout, on a long field, with the kicker that can kick to Nola from the 35.
They were clearly more spread out.
