Could've transferred as well. He was always congratulating JD on the sidelines during the season. Team player and high character guy. If Howard didn't think he could beat out Nuss after JD leaves or compete with others in the QB room, too bad. Wish the young man luck.

Nuss has never showed anything but class. His dad is a coach and he just went about his business.

I agree. Nuss could've left and would've probably become a starter right away, but he chose to stay and wait for his turn. He'll still have two years of starting unless he declares early. I just wish Howard would've stayed until we found out if he was better than Nuss, but I wish him well and good fortune.

His dad and him refusing to play in the bowl game last year has made LSU fans love him this year because of Howard's decision

I still think the bowl game stuff was BS. If you are good enough you are leaving after junior year anyways. And maybe if he has a great bowl game, we don’t even try to get JD.
