Have any of you watched some of the replays of other top games from yesterday?

Ala/Ga, Penn St/Oregon and others.....the thing that sticks out so blatantly is the creativity/imagination, whatever you want to call it on offensive plays. Reverses, end arounds, shovel passes, and on and on.
Compare that with LSU and you see NONE of the above. The ultimate best description and example of LSU offense has to be the so much needed 2 pt conversion. Can anyone believe the play that LSU CALLED in that situation? It has to be the most feckless, ill conceived play call in LSU history, when considering the situation.
If you want to know why LSU is so impotent on offense, we first have to look at the pathetic Oline play, but a close second is the play designs and play calling in situational football as being almost equally pathetic.
How can any of us think this level of incompetence can possibly beat any decent team? Yes, our D has improved, but they went backwards yesterday. It is really confusing how Perkins can be dominate one game, and then be a complete non factor in a big game like yesterday. How were we not spying their running QB. Perkins was a complete non factor in the game, and that is very puzzling as to why.
So much is wrong with this team, one can only look at one person as to why..BK, and btw, complementary football is a ridiculous way to summarize a football game. Just trying to sound smart when I truly believe, he has no clue how to improve this team.
I am very concerned that if major moves are not made with this coaching staff very soon, just to show the players that LSU is really trying to get better, our future with keeping recruits, top players, etc, is going to be very bleak. What top offensive players would ever want to play for this offense?

BK's use of this term reminds me of a talking point given to struggling politicians by buffoonish junior staffers.
I hate it so much.

Kelly practically ran out on the filed yelling Left Hash Left Hash so the ref would spot the ball there on the 2pt conversion. I said good, we're rolling Nuss out to the right with plenty of field to throw an out or catch another progression WR dragging across. Nope, we ran a slow devloping trap to the weak side and teeth of the D lol.

We couldn’t block three with five. Creativity, or a lack thereof, is not our primary issue.

I have played/coached/watched football for over 70 years - I have never seen a more feckless play considering the other options available.
note - "coaching" was all in youth related football where I only had 3 'plays' but each could be run either left or right, with rare passing options, but none were that bad.

If you can't block them, at least try to trick them. LSU doesn't have that level of ingenuity. We just go ahead a try to block them, knowing we can't. That is called insanity, and that is the best description of LSU offense right now.

Brother, we aren’t talking four on four. We aren’t even talking five on four. We can’t block five on three. We couldn’t run the ball into a dime defense. There’s no tricking your way through that.

Our OL can’t block 3 guys. They sit there and wait on the DL to come to them even in the running game. Opposing defenses know this so they drop 8 guys into coverage on every single play and still get pressure. Thats pitiful and our OL should be embarrassed as hell. The issues of our entire team start with the OL

Nearly a third of our rushing attempts yesterday were by wide receivers.
The horrible 2pt conversion attempt you referenced was a counter where Johnson lined up at WR, came across in motion, then went the other way.
The offense is bad. But this whole “creativity” thing is a trap. If plays like the 2pt conversion attempt actually worked, people would be praising the creativity. It didn’t work, and it looks like a really stupid call.
Ultimately a productive offense generally looks “creative” to fans. See 2019 as an example.. that offense didn’t reinvent the wheel, they just executed at a higher level than anyone else.
None of that excuses Joe Sloan, or Brian Kelly, or anyone else. It’s their job to make sure the players execute - through coaching and by effectively utilizing the strengths/masking the weaknesses of the personnel on the field. But the issues aren’t going to be solved by being more exotic on offense.
