I love how everyone keeps throwing these stats out that Lee has. He most probably has the best receiving core in the country with Lafell, Byrd, and Richard D. His numbers would not look half as good if they didn't make so many good catches. How many balls do you see thrown behind the receivers... I know you lost count. How many delay of games and wasted timeouts do we have with Lee in the game. Hatch manages the game better and gives us the option of running the ball. He also can make the 20 yard pass fine. You don't need to throw the ball longer than that to win games when you have as good of a running game as us.

Do some math for us. How far does a QB have to throw it to complete a 20 yard out from the middle of the field?

Answer: more than 20 yards

Some of you can keep wanting Hatch to start. The reality is he will not unless Lee gets hurt. The difference between Lee and Hatch are night and day.

Get over it.

Well the reality is that by the end of next year, Lee will not be starting. They will have had enough of that "rocket" arm throwing it to the other team.

A freshman, either Chris Garrett, Russell Sheppard, or J Jefferson.

So despite being in this third year in the offense and playing well AT Florida and AT Auburn and not receiving any OLine help AT Florida he is going to lose the job to a Freshman that will somehow magically not throw picks?

Vastly overrated by LSU fans.

and Lee gives us the option of not throwing a 10 yard crossing route since his arm is stronger than a wet noodle.

Thats what a running back is for. If it was up to you JP Losman would be starting over Trent Edwards just because he can run. To be successful in the SEC you have to be able to run and pass. Lee is by far the more talented Quarterback and to be honest the most experienced now. You can't expect this kid to take over a game especially when you only rush for 70 some odd yards in the game. I personally think one of the only good things to come out of the Florida was Lee. He took some solid hits and got right back up every time. He showed me he's got the toughness and the ability to be successful in the SEC and I'm very excited for what he can do for us in the future.

do they regret starting j. russ, with his "rocket arm", over Flynn? NO! Get over it, lee may have "won" the starting job at Auburn, but he did win it. If we have the best receivers why wouldn't the guy with the best passing ability and arm be playing?

Hatch = good in game transition, not starter. He is not the better of the two

I would say Matt Flynn. Hatch's arm is not that much worse than Matt Flynn's arm. Also, Eric Crouch didn't do too bad at Nebraska.

Vick i can give you but he could still throw the ball. And please dont compare Vick's running ability to Hatch, thats just not right. Flynn had more than an adequate arm. You telling me Hatch could make that throw against Aurburn, not a chance. And Flynn wasnt a run as soon as you get the ball type QB, he went with pass first and then when nothing was open he took out. Flynn is an NFL qb, Hatch is a Harvard transfer

You think Hatch could throw a screen pass b/c Lee has obviously proved more than just the interception that he can't. What about a short crossing route that he throws behind every receiver.

LSU1018 do you really think Hatch should start and would be better for the team or you just frickin with us? I sure hope it is the second because I see no good that can possibly come from it.

I honestly think that this year he gives us the best chance to win. Yes I do believe that Lee is the overall better QB but I think for this year alone, we would win more games with Hatch. I hope Lee proves me wrong and lights it up b/c it's not like I don't like him personally. I will root for him as hard as anyone when it comes to game time.
