source? I'd argue the exact opposite - that we're considered the most passionate fans in the country. If we see the program headed downhill then yes, there will be criticism. It's because we care.

????????. I am betting they will never admit they were wrong

what do you consider successful?

because ive seen one poster say that we should be happy with the 4 loss 2017 season because Vandy and Kentucky would like that record

I've also seen a poster post," what are you going to when O wins 6 games in 2018? will you admit you were wrong about O?"

What was the perception before and what's the perception now?
before hiring O: media roasted LSU for firing Miles

after hiring O: media roasted LSU for hiring O

You gave 4 years of your life? :rotflmao:

You act like you went overseas to serve our country.

Licking Willie Teal's jock strap doesn't make you an expert in football, it just makes you a glorified pickle sniffer.

But hey, let's let bygones be bygones. Allow me to be the first person to thank you for your "service" to our university.

The lowest common denominator of our fans base is ignorant trash. They make the rest of us look terrible. The Negatigers are less than human ever day.

It is how people complain. More than a few in our fan base look like idiots doing it. Eventually folks who actually have some pull go deaf constantly hearing the same bitching from the same people in the same pathetic way over and over. Eventually certain folks who are actually toward the top of the TAF, in the actual administration or other powerful boosters who feel change is necessary but hears the same ol' same ol' are going to tell the peanut gallery to shut the H8)) up and let the grown ups figure it out.

No blind trust at all. And O has a lot to prove. But I prefer to give him a shot. He has proven he can 9 games. BUT before his contract is done He MUST win a division title or else. This year if he does not win 8 I am on record saying he should be fired. Despite the schedule and youth at two out of three at the QB position this team can win 8 or 9 and maybe 10 with good coaching. If it is less than 8 wins it is on coaching and O will need to geaux.

Maybe so however the criticism about the results we all have seen in the last couple years is warranted.

I don't want to see the team fail, I do not nor would I ever want to see that and I think I speak for every LSU fan when I say that. But I also think that the team didn't get the coach they need or deserved, thanks to Alleva.

He's had one.

4 of those teams fired their own head coach. He should've won those and even with that being said, he barely beat Florida. Arkansas, Tennessee, A&M, Florida and all fired their head coach and I assure you it wasn't because O made them quit.

Ole Miss had an interim coach.

If he couldn't get through a good, not great, but good Miss. State team and then a sunbelt lose to Troy, crap, even Syracuse gave us a run for our money, how's he supposed to get the team ready to get through this upcoming schedule?

Any team that has a decent defense will give him trouble.

I'd love to see him prove me wrong but I have my doubts. There are certainly no excuses now. He has all these analysts and stuff.

Guess we'll see what we see.

So Ad hominem. It seems like every hapless “coach fan” resorts to a comment like this eventually. The rest of the country is laughing at us for hiring this clown but you think we must be “the worst” for complaining about him too?? How many coaches were replaced in the SEC alone last year? Can you imagine what sort of discussions were happening amongst those fans? LSU makes a splash in college football from its stupidity and still there are sycophants lining up to clap their hands for it. You gotta love Louisiana.

We weren’t idiots for wanting Miles gone.
O was a god awful replacement.
Both can be true at the same time.

The national perception of the program has going down since O was hired and that can't be argued.

The national perception had gone down before Miles was fired. The funny thing is our fans (many dumbasses obviously) think that the perception was high when Miles was here...i guess they forget how much of a joke we were because of our archaic offense.

Other fans really don't care...we have had better talent then almost every team out there for over a decade with not much to show for it.

Agreed.

Agre...wait....

You think those two are the same group? You think the group of fricking idiots that embarrass the university of gamedays with their boorish and drunken behavior are the folks here pointing out Ed Orgern's career record with statistics and making arguments as to why he will almost certainly fail as LSU's Head Coach?

You think the trash that has been known to harass and throw things at opposing fans is the group here arguing that hiring a man that no other university wanted as even a coordinator and then having him replace his own hand picked OC after 11 months with a man who has not held the same position since the Clinton Administration?

Really?

I'm kind of picturing it in reverse.
