Has Shaq ever been a significant resource for recruiting in MBB at LSU?

I feel like he's been a bigger help in recruiting for Football but haven't heard much with it comes to MBB.

You'd think with his fame and success and how everyone just generally likes him he'd be a big resource.

Shaquille O’Neal says he's only watching women's college basketball this year: 'The boys suck'

"The boys suck so I’m not following, but I’m definitely following the girls," O’Neal said. "Actually, women’s basketball is kicking a--."

He was a big Angel Reese fan last year.

I don’t really know what he does. I am sure he supports the program but doesn’t seem to be very vocal. But I am not going to say anything negative ever about that man. He is very open about his love for all things LSU and he does so much for so many people that he doesn’t have to. He keeps a lot of that stuff private.

When LSU makes a real commitment to men’s basketball Shaq will be right there leading the charge

Shaq has managed his money extremely well as opposed to a lot of professional athletes post-retirement and is worth hundreds of millions. Considering Dale is still somewhat around the program (for better or worse), I would assume that Shaq at minimum donates a pretty penny

How so? Because he comes to one home game per year?

I agree...I have nothing but praise, respect and appreciation for him. Just wondering if there was a way for the university to leverage that history and relationship to a better outcome for MBB.
