I thought Mett did it a couple of times.

LSU doesn't really run RB screens often. I've seen RB middle screens but not outside screens that I can recall. I've seen WR screens. I think LSU feels their olineman might not be quick enough to get the outside on screens? Who knows...
I couldn't really see Williford's 360lb body making it all the way to the outside on a screen.

Screens to the RB are generally used as a way to take advantage of defenses that are attacking upfield.
Defenses don't play us that way for obvious reasons.

Ford would be the ideal candidate for a screen pass
Hes the fastest RB and has the best vision

Most teams will probably try to play us man to man which would make it hard to get a screen to a running back if the lbs are playing man to man as well

We have thrown one to Spencer Ware and one to Ford, but I can only think of those two all season.

another play that has been a ghost in the playbook is the draw play

Not yet, but I'm OK with what we're doing, so I hadn't noticed. Maybe we'll spring it on someone when we need to.

It's definitely funny that we really haven't seen that many plays on offense this year. As good as our offense has been, CLM has not shown a lot of the playbook. I remember doing the same thing a little last season. Then we played some of our bigger games then the playbook opened up.

Some of you clearly don't read any posts before you post. One to Ford and one to Ware? Hell, there's a friggin link with a breakdown of every pass in the Oregon game in this thread, and two of the passes were screens to Ford.

those were swing passes, not screens

We need to get Payton and Pierre Thomas to Baton Rouge to work on the screen game! PT is a beast at screens.

I think Les is still hiding plays from 2007. I have been hearing that bs for years.

Conventional screens are to slow down a pass rush and we're near the top of the conference in least sacks given up so no need yet.
I bet against Bama we'll see either a screen or the old middle shovel pass.
