Matt Mauck had some cajones. He was a good leader as well.

I love having a QB with an attitude.

But this game will need better performance as well. Obviously

Was referring mostly to his “in-your-face attitude”.

Also, while the others mentioned were good QB’s, they had more than 4 months with the team before taking the field.

I never once felt uneasy with Rohan once he locked the spot down.

Huh? What big games you talking about? The biggest game of his college career he didn't even win. A QB by the name of Matt Mauck played most the second half and won that game. Until Mauck came in the 2001 SEC champ Game LSU was losing with Rohan in. Rohan was a really good QB for one season when he had a guy named Josh Reed to throw to. Matt Mauck won 2 Sec champ games and one NC. So, if you are talking big games at least mention someone that actually led a team to a big game win. I'm not knocking Rohan, but that statement, sorry man, but that statement is ignorant.

I'm guessing this guy wasn't a pussy.

But yeah, I like Joe's swagger.

I would take Ro 99 times out 100 to lead the team as an underdog.

There are too many to list. The LSU QB situation under Les is probably why this thread started.
But you guys missed 1 of our moxiest QB's. Went by the name of Slinger and is now the OC.

Hodson:

"Against Kentucky in the fifth game of the '86 season, Tommy took a shot under the chin and nearly bit his tongue in half. He was stitched up in the locker room and came back to the huddle. His teammates could hardly understand him. Hodson glared and said, "Lis-then clos-ther!" LSU won 25-16. Hodson was 16 of 24 for 255 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions."

SI article on Hodson

Are you saying that Burrow is an average college QB?

If so

Yes. There's literally nothing to suggest otherwise, I'd love to hear the argument that he's above average.

Completion % - 53.9 - This is awful
Yards per attempt - 6.9 - This is awful

Through 8 games, he has 6 TD passes. That is awful

If we're being honest with ourselves and unbiased, saying that is average QB production is extremely generous.

You don't have a body of work yet to make that statement. When he walks away from LSU next year I highly doubt that anyone will consider him an average QB. He's had to learn on the fly because he's only been on campus a few months. Anyway keep calling him average and I'll keep laughing at you.
