Wow...don't sling the racist term around idiot!!

By making a statement about him changing his name to a muslim name ....makes someone a racist....wow...that might be the most ignorant statement I have ever heard...nice and narrow minded.....BTW didn't know that Muslims had anything to do with a certain race....sounds like your a racist your ignorant fool

do you still refer to Muhammad Ali as Cassius Clay? Or Kareem Abdul Jabbar as Lewis Alcindor

Only during ramadan...Why?

And I am sure I would if they both played for LSU and went into their professional careers and ended up being known nation wide. But Chris didn't do that did he?

Yes back in the day when we had Shaq, Stanley Roberts and Chris Jackson (AKA some muslim name name moahdhafoahsf;ahf) Pre season #1, however if I remember we didn't even get past the first round of March Madness that year....I am still convinced Dale Brown had black male pictures of everyone on the LSU board and State Senate.

you obviously weren't following LSU hoops back then because if you did, you would know that was the first year those guys played together. Shaq was a true freshman with lots of potential, but no where near the player he was by his Junior year. Shaq was often in foul trouble his freshman year. That same year, Stanley was a redshirt freshman, and more of a scorer, but it was still his first year of D1 basketball. If that team had another year or two to gel, they would have been special.

No I did follow LSU basketball...and all I know was that Brown could recruit like hell but couldn't get them to gel together or coach them. Brown could get the most out of the less talented players...seemed to motivate more than a X's and O's coach.

and, showing disrespect to a person, by not referring to them by their name, just because he doesn't have the same beliefs as you is not ignorant and narrow minded?

my bad. I guess I should have said that you don't know what you're talking about then. The team you're referencing wasn't going to be good that year. They were too young and inexperienced. There's no real debate on that issue; however, you're still free to hate Dale if it makes you feel better. You just need to pick better reasons.

You want to respect a man who refused to even stand for the National Anthem?
Kareem and Ali at least stood up for it.

Thought it was Georgia Tech that beat LSU that year. Dennis Scott, Kenny Anderson, some other big name scorer (team was called Lethal Weapon 3).

Indiana beat LSU Shaq's last year if I recall.
