Jennings is a beast, rivers has height on him but that's about it.

I think Rivers is a decent player who can make all the throws, too. Which says something.

Jennings has been able to make all the throws this spring, according to some people.

I think this speaks more on Rivers inability more than Jennings. Not exactly something you want to hear. A freshman QB who has been in the program a few months has already passed you up on the depth chart. I'm sure Jennings will be good but it's going to take him awhile to develop...

And others have said he needs to work on his accuracy.

No matter which way you spin it, that's good news. Apparently Jennings is just that good.

that's a fair criticism of him. I've also heard much of the same about Rivers & Hettig.

i honestly thought rivers would start out 2014 as the starter with jennings/rettig taking over as the season went on.

I don't think this is a knock on Rivers as much as a bright and talented frosh. MANY schools have had supposed starters who have been replaced by true frosh within a couple of games due to that something extra they bring to the table. Ask A&M.

I have said it before, if Jennings proves to be able to do exactly what Met does (all the throws, and reads) equally as well, without over throwing wide arse open receivers and can scramble. I think Jennings may be our starter within a few games.

And just to be clear, in all fairness to Jennings, he's not "really" a freshman yet. Should be going to his sr prom about now in fact.

It's nice that we finally have two QBs who are getting into this program earlier and being crafted by Coach Cam.

It's not completely out of the question. It's not like it hasn't happened before. True freshman have come in at QB in college football and torn it up. It's rare but it happens.
