aigu

From my Google search:

The term "accent agout" refers to "accent aigu", which is a type of French accent mark. It's the acute accent (´) that is placed above the letter "e" (é) in French. The acute accent changes the pronunciation of the letter "e" to a closed, higher-pitched sound, similar to the "ay" in "pay" in English according to Lawless French and a YouTube video. It's one of the five diacritics (or accent marks) used in French, along with the grave accent (à, è, ù), the circumflex (â, ê, î, ô, û), the cedilla (ç), and the trema (ë, ï, ü), according to Rosetta Stone.

Best wishes and speedy recovery!

Know that I am ready if needed. LSU graduate and the PA announcer for large Texas high school football and baseball games.

Have season tickets and attend most games driving six hours early Saturday mornings to see the Tigers.

Only on the Rant would this go from a couple of comments about the health of Mr. Borné to an argument of the spelling of a French accent mark.

Well, maybe not just the Rant....probably anywhere on the internets.

That's just the english translation, good lord lady. Accent agout is nothing, no matter how much you argue it.
