I think if you take a look back to when Saban was hired, a lot of LSU fans were like; who and he’s from up North and will never work out here. LSU fans are emotional and live game to game and sometimes half to half - OC, HC, DC, etc needs to be fired at halftime. Jay Johnson with his two nattys in three years would be fired if it were up to some LSU fans. Total idiots and the crazy thing is, they never shut up regardless of how many times they are wrong.

The fire the coach guys are the ones that amaze me the most. Got a great exit strategy but beyond that; nothing. As if who they want is definitely going to leave where they’re at to come to LSU.

We were a zone blocking team besides from 2019 - 2021 besides the 2020 Florida game when TDP went off

I wasn't talking about what our schemes were under a previous Coach. We have been a primarily zone blocking scheme team dating back to the previous Coach. I never said there was anything wrong with a zone blocking scheme. However, that is more finesse. That is not even up for debate.

zone schemes can be just as physical as gap. RPO teams can be just as physical as I formation teams that run fricking fb dives

It seems you are getting hung up on the word "physical." When anyone mentiones a "physical" scheme they are referring to a "man-blocking" scheme which is more about opening a hole pre-determined based on the play. Which is why it is often referred to as "physical" because its about moving the bodies out of the way at all costs.

Where as in a finesse or zone blocking scheme there are multiple areas to attack. The running back is to read the development of the blocks and determine to bounce, cutback, or get north, etc. That is why its consisdered finesse.

Brian Kelly has had physical lineman and tight ends but their scheme is more zone blocking/finesse than man/physical. It has been a while since we have been a true physical style running team. And I wasn't saying thats a bad thing but its just dishonest to claim the contrary. Sprinkling in different style runs helped us but I do think our backs are more suited for zone blocking schemes. Kaleb was the only back that didn't fit into a zone blocking scheme.

Truth is he doesn't seem to be a fit anywhere.
