Any of yall ever sit in the student section at bama? I can get a ticket there but I don't know if I want to risk my life. Any opinions?

Yea, I did it back in late 90's when LSU beat Bama under Dinardo. Wasn't that bad. We had some bama friends with us though. We were raising too much hell to be fricked with. God I miss those days.

Back in 1988 a friend and I bought 2 tickets for $5 in Tuscaloosa just before kickoff. The tickets were on the 50 yard line, but they were on Row 3 and the person in the next seat from me began the student section. I figured that we were screwed, but other than them being typical Bama fans, we had no problem. When LSU came back in the 2nd half and won the game we were jumping up and down and screaming like nuts. Everyone around us acted like they were at their mothers funeral, not peep out of them. One of my greatest LSU moments!

Yes 1982. With a Zeta from Mobile, I had more sex(with another living person) that weekend than most guys on the OT have had in their lifetime

Really bad idea. Seems cool until you walk into the stadium. Trust me.

I did it in 2005. The OT game. Minded my own business. Was respectfully enthusiastic. Didn't move. No snack bar, no bathroom. Left happy and in one piece. Well, it was two of us, so two pieces.

You might want to dress neutral, but in true tiger fashion I am sure you wont! Best of luck!! I did it in Oxford and it did not end pretty.

If you have a VERY thick skin, and have a good natured, friendly personality, go ahead. If you are in to Roid Rages, or want to be confrontational, or thinking you are more of a bad-arse than you actually are, or somehow are not able to realize the surroundings you are sitting in, then don't.

In other words, with no other option, have a thick skin, be friendly, have a good time, don't get in to a fight, and go ahead.

I've traveled to Auburn and MSU games, but never the student section. My god, that's gonna be rough.

There's no point in dressing neutral, not if you're a Tiger fan and you want to have a good time. But I'd be careful what you say and how much alcohol you drink.

My son sat there in '05, when Jamarcus passed us to victory in OT. Said he had to tone down his celebration when the pass was complete.....self-preservation.

i sat in the bama student section 2 years ago in 07. it was me and my girlfriend and we both had on our LSU jerseys and cheered the whole game. we were right next to the greek section and after the game, some frat guys tried to start shite bc i wanted to get a pic with the field and scoreboard in the background. well they kept being douschebags about it, so i was like screw yall and i ran on the field, like on the sideline and my gf took a pic and in the background you can see security coming after me

Respectfully enthusiastic. That's the key. No taunting. No flaming. Cheer the positives. Sit quietly while they celebrate their in-game victories. If tard opposing fans get over-exuberant on you, their rational ones should intervene. There's bound to be one voice of reason nearby. {expecting contradictory posts here}

Good luck! My exit from BDS in 2005 was SWEET. Thanks Jamarcus et al.

I sat there in 07, they were actually cool for the most part except for one douche 2 rows in front of me with girls shades on, but it was a blast especially after the fumble by JPW

I was there in '07. My brother actually graduated from Bammer so it gets pretty interesting this time of the year. But he got me tickets and me and him sat there and it was awesome. I had no trouble with any of the students and cheered every single time LSU made a play. Good fans IMO. It wasn't the greek section though so I guess I got it easy.
