Why do you assume no one on this board contributes heavily to the program?

People that “contribute heavily” already know the answers to questions like

After the 2023 season, I said BK will win enough games (9-3, 8-4) per season to keep himself from getting fired. Just enough to keep the fans delusional/optimistic for the next season.

Two years later... he's still clueless, fielding incomplete teams, has a terrible coordinator on one side of the ball, and Coachspeaking his way to another 8-4, 9-3 season.

2025 this board will give him another excuse of rebuilding this current defense that will likely lose 7 or 8 starters.

That is football….it is damn difficult to win a national championship. Most team’s fans are lucky to see one in their lifetime.

LSU negotiated with Les. It went from 7 to like 1.6.
Wasn’t that only when Les was about to take the Kansas job? I thought he was getting his full buyout installment payments as scheduled and then the 2 sides agreed to a smaller lump sum payment to settle, right before he took the Kansas job?

Woodward should not be allowed to hire another football coach.

That only ever occurs if the coach had a truly trash season. The coach doesn't have leverage if he actually wants to keep coaching there.

Only dumbass LSU fans are thinking about a 9-10 win coach being fired. You literally can't find that anywhere else. We are not playing in the ACC. Ole Miss could legit go anywhere from 13-0 to 9-3 this season and we lost by 5 at their house.

A swear a lot of you MFers want us to turn into Nebraska or Wisconsin. Good thing is that we live in a talent rich state.

so that’s now the standard for LSU football?!?!

Woodward could not afford to miss on that hire. BK had THE MOST PROVEN RECORD of any coach available.

The odds of winning the natty are so astronomically low every year, at least BK had a high floor.

If you think someone will voluntarily let tens of millions of dollars fly out the window because they’re a “nice guy” and “doing what is right,” then you probably have about as much to learn about reality than I did as a young adult, which is a lot.

I didn’t say that, genius. This isn’t about “doing what is right”

I could see a situation where LSU could say, “hey, you obviously want to leave, we want you to leave. We can’t afford the buyout right now, but we can pay less and, and you can leave you and not coach, or you can stay, continue to recruit all year, coach all year, work regularly on 4 hours of sleep, do press conferences, and be miserable for years, to get more money.”

It’s a stressful job, it’s not like he just sits on his arse for $10M a year. Don’t act like there aren’t people who wouldn’t take less money to retire than work an insanely stressful job year round for more money til they’re 70.

Nick Saban left $55M on the table and he didn’t even get bought out.

Yeah but technically the buyout is contingent on them doing their due diligence to look for a new job. They didnt really hold Ogeron's feet to the fire on that because they wanted to part way amicably but they also didnt own him 40 million. I think there is a path that LSU could get out of the BK situation if they really want to.
