Can you take a step back and look at your posts, nobody can say anything critical...it's amazing

wesome revisionist history you have going there. That Bama team was supposed to beat us soundly and needed a Chavis derp to win. Mett, Landry, and Landry weren't what they were in 2013, and you're being very disingenuous to claim otherwise.
I don't know who was supposed to beat who. I know Mett was on fire in the 2nd half, that our final drive had three first downs by passing, that another first down would have ended the game, and that Miles chickened out, ran three straight times for barely any gain, and then attempted a long-ish field goal that wouldn't even have won the game.

That's false.
What I am pointing out is how ridiculous the lengths people will go to criticize. Complete stretch Armstrong reaches.

We did fall off a bit. Still better than 95% of everyone else. But when considering what we face every year. We have to be at 98%+. Very little margin of error in recruiting.

coach that currently has LSU as a top 10 team are the ones that look ridiculous?

Not really, one guy was asking for proof of other players calling out Les and I provided an example and then got attacked because there is no way players aren't happy playing for him

again...why do you assume players can't separate their personal feelings and feelings towards game/gameplans?
I know I used to get frustrated at times with my coach or coaches but I still loved playing for them

#1 Alabama at #5 LSU

LSU-Bama 2012 game stats
Yards rushing LSU - 139 Bama - 166
LSU yards passing LSU - 298 Bama 165
I'd say that Mett and company dominated the second half until we decided to run the ball three times to pick up the last first down and failed.

so remind me. this is the same gameplan we use every week. so, did these former players criticize the gameplan for the florida game? no, they never do when you win.
Jesus you guys are idiots. When you have a game plan where you back is gaining 10 yards a pop then yes you stick with it. But when he's averaging 1 yard a pop at some point you have try different things. If he was getting 5 yards a carry all game against Bama, I would stick with it and wear them down, problem was all we were doing was wearing us down.

I've wanted Les fired for years...and many posters on this board have screamed for it too over the years including Speedy(the keeper of the positiger Les thread) and even Chicken. To be honest I no longer want him fired because that's wasted effort and energy, at this point we made our bed and now we lay in it.

cool, so the gameplan coming into the game was fine then

we did and Harris was ineffective when we tried something different
its hard to be successful when your OL is getting dominated like it was

LSU looked like a pee wee team.

The stage is too large for Cam
i mean, he's called nfl playoff games so i'd call that a stretch

The coaching is to blame
yes. could have played better but zero chance without a run game

whey did we not attack 1 on 1 on the outside more
yup. we had success when we did with dural and dupre
.

why did we not try stretch plays, counters
frustrating. find ways to get him to the edge without sending him into five red jerseys

why not go back to the circle route to LF7
ughhh,, would have been a huge play had harris hit him. one thing we did try to do was get him on a wheel route but those plays are so slow developing and we didn't have enough time for harris to wait
quote:
This coaching staff is just not good
they're built to recruit. spade is a spade. outside of cam who is a figurehead for les miles' fricktarded big-game philosphy, where are the tacticians on this offensive staff? raymond has done well on the other side of the ball and O has been a coup.
quote:
its not LF7's fault, he doesn't call the plays.
he certainly had no chance getting hit 13 out of 19 times behind the LOS

The "faction" who feels so giddy and excited to say "I told you so!"
The game vs Alabama was horrible. But those of you who anytime we look bad who go back to the 2005 Tennessee game and proudly say "I knew right then he was awful1" don't do anyone any good.

Criticizing the runs to eat clock is pretty easy to do in hindsight. I'm sure if Les knew Alleman would miss a 45 yarder kick and Chavis would pull a Chavis, he may have changed the plan up.

The gameplan wasn't the problem. The failure to adjust was the problem. It's worked for lsu all season, why change your stripes and start off with something that your offense isn't comfortable doing? Two weeks isn't really enough time to completely change what you do. That said, it was evident in the first quarter that the plan wasn't going to work offensively. What sets Alabama apart in my opinion from every other defense in the country, they hold each other accountable and play with a whole lot of pride and anger. I've seen defensive backs all year cower at the sight of Fournette. Our 190 pound corners and safeties met him in the hole all night and stoned him with reckless abandon. They tackle. One of the basic fundamentals of the game that is lost in most places still reigns supreme at Alabama.
When it's evident that it isn't working, you have to change it. Les talks about needing to run in order to possess the ball...if you can't gain yards running then you aren't going to possess the ball. Sure you may turn it over or throw incompletions, but it was clear that running wasn't going to work period, so the gamble should have been made at that point to go 4 wide and let it fly. It wasn't going to get any worse.

Everything he said is true. But Les is a nice guy.
