Basically it's the distinction of players have to have particular numbers for the position that they're listed at vs what position they're allowed to play.
We've seen player with WR numbers like Cordarrelle Patterson and Ty Montgomery play exclusively at TB for entire games.

They seem to be caught up in media designations, which are made to explain things to the average fan in a simple way. But as a matter of function and actual game situations you won’t find a player wearing #22 lined up as a tight end because it isn’t legal. Here’s footage from 1997, Harvey’s only season as mostly a FB. Notice where he lines up and where he ends up by the time of the snap.
2nd play 3:30 in, that’s not a tight end

Ha. Ha. Ha. Whatever, troll. Broken by an idiot on a message board, yeah right. More worried about pissing my pants because I'm laughing so hard at your inanity.
As to wrong, you certainly know all about that topic as you have demonstrated in this thread.

I won't dispute that, but I will say it was obvious LSU wasn't on as many PEDs as Nebraska in those days, if the Sugar Bowl results are any indication.
I have a friend who played in the Senior Bowl back during this time. There were several linemen from Nebraska there. He said it was absurd how different their bodies were. He say one of the guy’s face felt like it was molded out of cement.

The story I remember is this. The day Harvey was to announce where he was going he still was unsure who to pick from LSU or A&M. A student at his high school was singing or, humming, the A&M fight song when he walked into the hallway and he made up his mind to choose LSU.

In the NFL you can’t play TE as your primary role and wear 22, but wearing 22 doesn’t preclude you from playing TE.
Correct
AP Article on 1997 Raiders Game
Quoted text from article:
"Little-used Harvey Williams was Oakland’s big-time payback to San Diego.
Williams was seemingly everywhere Sunday night, catching short passes, long passes and diving into the end zone for a career-high four touchdowns as the Raiders routed the Chargers 38-13.
The 38 points were a season high for Oakland, which snapped a three-game losing streak. The Chargers failed to score an offensive touchdown, and in losing three straight games have surrendered 113 points. At 4-7, the teams share the AFC West basement.
Williams scored twice on 1-yard runs and had TD catches of 8 and 32 yards from Jeff George, who had three scoring passes overall. Williams’ previous single-game high was two touchdowns, twice.
Napoleon Kaufman was just as entertaining, nearly juking Chargers defenders out of the cleats on two plays and running for 109 yards on 20 carries. That gives the third-year pro a career-high 1,035.
Williams, who began the season as backup to tight end Rickey Dudley, had just five carries for 11 yards and one touchdown, and eight catches for 71 yards coming into the game."
Checkmate, Maddunce.

“Williams, who began the season as backup to tight end Rickey Dudley, “
Lol Dudley was still the starter during that game and Williams didn’t line up at TE once. I literally posted a link of the entire broadcast lmao.
Remember a few pages ago when I asked you to provide any proof of not only Williams but any player you morons suggested showing them lined up at tight end? You still haven’t shown any, I wonder why... just kidding I know why.

Trust me you won’t see it happen again. These people are kooks and in Lester’s case a mommas boy sociopath with the emotional maturity of a reality TV house wife.

Knew someone that worked for his agent while in the NFL
He got 90-100k to come here. His parents were pissed
and he had to move in the rest of his senior year with his Uncle. Shady things happened to his money then and he only kept a portion of his "signing bonus." They say it was pay back for Billy Cannon Jr.

Knew Harvey fairly well but was friends with his brother Darryl. If he ever got paid, neither he nor Darryl ever spoke of it. A couple reasons I remember:
Harvey came to LSU because aTm dissed him by signing another high profile running back.
Darryl was also offered a spot and aTm at the time, was not matching that offer.
Man, he was fun.
In addition, Harvey himself related not long after he signed that, as he was walking down the aisle in his Hempstead High School gym to the podium to announce his college choice, amidst the band playing 'The Aggie War Hymn' and the cheerleaders yelling A&M cheers, he got up to the mike and uttered the following words to the jammed gymnasium.
"I have decided I will attend LSU University."
Harvey said that the crowd and band playing A&M and everyone assuming made up his mind for him - AS HE WAS WALKING UP THE AISLE. :)

I mostly remember him saying that choosing LSU was a mistake once he got to the NFL.
