You don't need Drew Brees to hand it off 80% of the time in a 2-tight, 1 WR, I-formation set

Do you believe, that based on LSU's past, if we had a Drew Brees-esque QB we would "hand it off 80% of the time in a 2-tight, 1 WR, I-formation set"?

outsider's perspective... told an LSU buddy saturday night during the game.... Harris is better and it isn't close..... further proof that Les never likes to admit when he's wrong...... no need to rehash the title game vs. bama here.... you guys remember that I'm sure.
Harris should be the guy.....in my opinion...

We can if you want. Bringing in the other QB that night wouldn't have done a damn thing. Bama beat the shite out of us and would have beaten every other team in the country that night as well.

Harris still hasn't shown that he knows the playbook. See Wisconsin and SHST.

You mean the game where the o-line posted missing the entire game? Peyton Manning wouldn't have won that game for LSU.

Supposedly Brandon Harris has all the makings of an NFL arm, I'm not here to argue which QB is better...how many times do we need to see the reruns of this show before we figure out the script never changes?

I think there is some truth to this. The more people question him about it the more hard headed he will be.

Yeah, it isn't like we were throwing all over the field last year. Oh wait.

I've said this for years, going all the way back to his handling of Keiland Williams

My only point is that last year we set records for passing and you think that this year we have had a total offensive shift based on the whims of Les Miles'. I would posit that it has more to do with our QB than this sudden philosophical shift.

When our QBs have not been very good, our fans complain about or offense.

When we've had good QBs, our fans don't complain (as much) about our offense.

Point out where I argue about ability to throw the ball? My gripe is we stay in the same set the majority of the game and run 80% out of that set

When we have Jarret Lee we're running QB triple read options to the short side of the field 10 times a game, we finally have two extremely athletic QBs and we're handing off dive and wham plays out of the I-formation

Good point, I'm still stuck in the post Mauck/pre Mett phase. Feels like it happens every year for some reason

I honestly believe the white vs black criers is a thing of the distant past
