I must admit, Locked on LSU is much more listenable ever since the bald head italian guy took over. Nothing against Caroline, but it is what it is.

Perk, to me, is valuable as a free player. He will have guys the coaches can trust to do a job so he can rove around and be placed wherever they feel he can help in coverage or on a delayed blitz. With the giant in the middle eating 1.5-2 blockers and both edges needing a blocker he will have some lanes open to blitz. Then having him drop into coverage should serve to confuse the qb. He cannot carry a defense but in this type of role he can be the playmaker

Based on how much we played Star toward the end of the year, I think he is ideal depending on the package to play both. OLB and Star.

The one LB that should play the Mike is Keys, he’s a True Mike and it give Whit the ability to play the will and not worry about taking on blockers as much

Agreed. Perk is that prototype rover, star, whatever you wanna call it. Put that guy in space and let him run down ball carriers. Hopefully his handlers have learned their lesson too.
