From a talent perspective from last night, I'd say the top 6 was a wash and might have favored LSU.

C'mon...Have you not seen kentucky all year? Their flaw is that they tend to play down to their competition and only turn it on when (1) there's a huge name on the other side (Kansas, UNC, Louisville, UCLA, Texas) or (2) people start to question them.

They went to back to back OT games to open the SEC because they just went through the motions. ESPN, et al. started talking about how they weren't as good as people think. So, they went out the very next game and beat Missouri by 49. That's what they do.

LSU had great energy last night and the dome was rocking. But, you saw Kentucky's B- game.

When Towns and Stein get going they are unstoppable at the college level.

Kentucky fans probably say the same thing about LSU football

Hey,they played the best team in college basketball and lost by ONE basket. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Kentucky was lucky to win.

and we blew them off the field.

I would have loved to have won the game last night, but the fact that we fought them to a point where we had a chance to win at the end was impressive. That was LSU's best game of the season. Dick Vitale kept saying LSU's bigs are better than advertised, he loved Martin and Mickey.

Fatigue issues due to lack of depth is consistently a serious issue for this team.

Has attributed to all 7 losses; all single-digit losses; 6 of the 7 LSU had leads in the final 5 minutes and/or overtime.

My question is why don't we come out to play like that every game?

Should be why don't the fans come out and support the team like that every game... The PMAC lived up to the Deaf Dome moniker last night and if they had that level of support every game this team wouldn't have more than 2-3 losses right now and would be top ten. Additionally, you would not be wishing top level players would come to the program - if you create the environment then they will come and win you titles.

from ESPN:
"Attendance was announced at 13,111 in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, the largest crowd since the 2008-09 season, when the Tigers sold out four times on the way to their last NCAA tournament appearance. When LSU opened up an early 10-2 lead, forcing Calipari to call timeout, the crowd was howling at an ear-ringing volume and retractable sections of the grandstand were shaking."
