Seriously, I remember the early 00s losing to ole Miss and uab and thinking how the hell did that happen? Florida used to skulldrag us. I think one of the tebow seasons they humiliated us. The state loss sucked but damn, that wasn't the worst I've seen.

Well most of the fans that post here weren't even born when Hallman was coach much less cognizant of the 90s. I guess it could be argued it was one of the worst losses since they started watching football in the mid 2000s

You always have to take what Hannigriff says with a grain of salt because he's still butt hurt he didn't get Hawthorn's gig.

never said that he said it. he took their comments out of context and butchered the post grammatically. it's just a dumb post any way you slice it.

Big losses were so commonplace in the era from 1989-99 that we used to be happy with good efforts in a losing cause (like losing 21-28 to Florida in 1992, and losing 18-13 to A&M in 94).

How about Miami of Florida (a 44-3 loss in 1988)? That was much, much worse IMHO, because the Tigers had just clinched the SEC title the week before with a win @ Miss State and was on the cusp of national prominence, and instead was totally humiliated...at HOME!

88 Miami in monsoon was pretty bad to witness in person as was 93 UF , however, only time will tell if this Moo St team was anywhere near those!

Was pretty bad, I'd say awful performance no matter where one looked

It is the true nail in the coffin end of the competitive era for LSU we enjoyed since early 2000s. It is very clear we arent going to be competing as a top team for many years.
damn man. you are really a downer. lose one game and then "we aren't going to be competing for many years". pretty much of a stretch eh?

Strange because the defense played a poorer game than the offense. Aranda is as culpable as anyone IMHO
Posted on 9/20/17 at 7:26 pm to tarzana
Agree, Aranada's worst game, but he's proven himself in other games over a season, can't say the same for Orgeton or Canada.

Problem solved, 6/7 man protection .
It's all good .....

Those are all bad losses, as was the Miss St loss Saturday, but there is only one correct answer to "worst loss ever": @ Tulane 1981. 7-48 to a team w/ a 5-5 record. The game was rated as a tossup, and I remember jumping up and down when Bill Elko made an interception deep in the Tiger red zone when Tulane was already leading 0-14! LSU made a couple of first downs, and then punted the ball down to the Tulane 3! So what happened then? Tulane drove the ball all the way down the field, held on to the ball for over 8 minutes, and kicked a FG right before halftime. Needless to say, the second half was much, much worse.

Hannigriff just now on 98.1 "what's fixable and what's not on this team." Fixable, the passing and penalties, can't fix Oline nor Dline.

it may not be the worst loss of all time but I also dont think that it can be chalked up to just one bad game.

Hannigriff "cause for concern here, significant loss"

On 104.5 today Hannigriff and Ott lit into the LSU coaches. Worst loss ever because of who the team was. Basically stated that Canada and Orgeron need to show up or they will be out.
They and everyone else who thinks this are retards and don't know a damn thing about football.
If we had showed up full strength and a veteran team and got man handled like this I would agree with them. But we are a young team and far from full strength. This team is full of young superstars that will win a MNC before they leave. I don't know why people can't see this?

Yes, there is immense talent at LSU, but we're still waiting on Canada and Orgeron to prove they can coach
