You’re right my mistake I meant the Florida game not Auburn. Look you guys are right about insubordination on Canada’s part, he could’ve been a good soldier and just respected the chain of command. I agree with you there but the things that led to him going over Orgerons head did happen.

but the QB runs and 4 wide sets also is serious meddling to me.

None of that changed. Pick any game, watch the highlights on YouTube.

Orgeron had his marching orders. PASS THE DAMN BALL!!! Canada was sabotaging the LSU passing offense!!!

Which is why I asked about the 4 wide set issue. Does it make any sense to tell someone to stop using 4 wide sets if you want them to throw the ball more? Does shifting and motioning prevent you from throwing the ball? Doesn't the ability for your QB to run help alleviate a pass rush which would give you more time to throw the ball?

Eta: misspelling

Lol buckeye is full of it as usual, Canada did not sabotage the passing game. Saying shite like that is just idiotic, Canada had the third most efficient passing attack in LSU history and he set the record for big plays in the passing game.

You just can't have that stuff going on during practices in front of the players. I can't happen. Your head coach loses all respect if that's allowed to continue.

I agree but Canada didn’t apply for the LSU job we reached out to him and made promises that Orgeron broke. You don’t give a job description to someone and then once you have them the exact opposite is true.

Who cares about the sets? Canada was running the ball more than any other Power-5 team in the country. And, Orgeron was hired to field an elite passing game. There's not a HC in the country who would have put up with that shite! Particularly when the last HC just got fired for not passing the ball...

C'mon man... LOL!!!

You’re right up until the first half of Auburn the offense looked the same. It wasnt until after Troy that it changed.

Really??? OK the game against MSU... The LSU offense was just as effective as it was against BYU...…………..

Teams are supposed to IMPROVE as the season goes along... this was NOT the case in the early stages of 2017....

MSU defense was light years ahead of BYU and Chattanooga.

LSU ran into a buzzsaw that night. That may have been the best game Mullen has ever coached as a head coach or an OC.

That's what OC's are for.

Canada double-crossed Orgeron & LSU, IMO.

"Sure, boss! Elite passing game coming right up!" Then Canada proceeds to pass the ball less than any other Power-5 program in the nation.

To date under O, Canada was the only OC that put up points on Alabama.

BUT did you see the difference in how the offense was run between the BYU game and the MSU game

No. BYU was a really bad team and LSU was able to run the ball right down their throat. They had 183 passing yards against BYU and 137 against MSU. The difference was MSU was able to shut the run down.

Possible... But that game in TS was pretty dominating...…..

MSU ran all over us for three quarters... 2014 I think.... Mullens only mistake that game was taking out his starters....

And we all thought Brandon Harris announced himself to the college football world.
