This is precisely what will happen, crippling recruiting and we will suck arse for years after Miles leaves. And everyone will say, "Remember when we had Les Miles and won 9 or 10 games a year?" And his legacy will remain intact despite, or perhaps because of, him being all but run off.

If it happens for years it will be because the new coach isn't as good at recruiting. Miles first recruiting class was 13 players including Perrilloux and 8 4-star players. The next season LSU signed 26 players including 2 5-stars and 12 4-stars, so he signed 12 3-stars that season.

And as bad as we all remember the Curly years being, they werent a decade. We bounced back

Funny how we have different standards for Presidents, and coaches. For example, people criticized President Obama for saluting military personnel, while holding a cup of coffee in his other hand .... George W. Bush regularly saluted holding his dog under his arm.

Personally I think Less himself has had enough

I said this last year his entire attitude and demeanor has changed. The father/ family man should take his millions and travel the country watching his kids play and do. I think he steps down after next season w or wo a nudge from AD

Miles will not be fired this year no matter what. It would actually not be prudent in the minds of those that matter. He will get next year to prove things are back on track or were never that bad. I think if next year things are not improving with more experience on the team then he's in trouble. Even if he loses out this year he gets another year.

Can't wait for when we have the new coach, I'm going to expect a title every year like every one does now and then watch the usual suspects change their tune "you have to give the new coach time!"

not even Dinardo needed time

It's not the fact that we have lost two games. It's the way we have lost games over the years. I love how some of you want to look at this situation with the "season to season" method.

We're losing all of our starting linebackers, our best corner, a starting safety, and three offensive linemen.

This was supposed to be our year.

What drives me crazy is Bama loses guys every year just like we do, but you rarely (if ever) see them drop out of contention. We deserve (and we're capable) to have a program every bit as good as that!

I'm so sick of being a runner-up and hoping for next season! I'm DONE with Miles. D-O-N-E, DONE!!!

We have lost 7 games and counting since the end of September of last year

Alabama has lost 7 games since the end of the 2010 season

In 1999 Nick Saban was a Big ten guy that played and had spent almost his entire coaching career in Ohio or Michigan. His "lack of southern ties" or "understanding of southern football" mean jack squat. Great coaches are great and it really doesn't matter where they are from.
I'll give you that one (even though Saban is a once in a generation coach, and Ohio has been the launching pad for dozens of legendary coaches for a hundred years not to mention the state of Ohio's history, tradition, and worship of of championship football. New Hampshire? Not so much.)

It's that kind of thinking that got us Curley Hallman.
Curley Hallman wasn't 66-13 with a National Champion under his belt when LSU hired him.

The main point is that Jimbo Fisher would be the right hire if there becomes an opening and he were willing to listen. Even better, he just happens to be a proven, southern football coach.

You think they wont do it anonymously??? Its donr at schools All the time. Is Les more important than the Lsu Program to those former players who already question his coaching on social media.

Ive never seen a booster list of folks wo have bought out a coach.
