Halftime shows

I was a member of tigerband for 4 years and have alot of respect for the people, their talent, and tradition. Having said that, i feel like halftime shows of marching bands is terribly outdated (not including the rare instances of places like Southern). Pregame, hold that tiger, etc… those are untouchable and will always have their place.
But can we stop pretending in 2026 people want to see constantly moving formations set to music most people either haven’t heard of, or have heard of and try to intentionally avoid?
I can see how my grandparents generation thought it was a spectacle seeing that in 1960, but now… big time college football is an immersive hi-tech experience. Then at halftime it goes away so we can hear spanish marches or disney music?

You left out the part of what you would do otherwise.
For the record, I enjoyed the band on the field at halftime from the 1970’s to the 2010’s. But that’s just me (and my wife).

I still like the band and they always do a fine job with the Veterans Day game, etc. I even like generic marching and geometric patterns.
However, when the line of band members is supposed to be straight….it needs to damn well be straight.

When you have Raisin Cane's money, you can do whatever you want. Drone shows are next

Contact TGBFTL Director Simon Holoweiko directly with any complaints about Tiger Band.

4 YEARS in Tiger Band? You're an amateur!
BTW, many of us Tiger Band Alums refer to the current GBFTL as TBBFTL. (The Boring Band from Tiger Land)
There's not much there that's exciting or creative enough to keep you in your seat at halftime. (The exact opposite of HBCU halftime shows)

I was in TB for half a decade and never once heard that “nickname”

I felt that way 10 years ago. A yawn fest.

Honest question: What was with "latin flare" so damn much?

“I don’t like the music they play. No one else should either.”

We have a historically lame light show. So much better out there and that one was just installed. Whatever LSU paid, it was too much.
