I kind of like this...

we'll be the upset special on GameDay for sure, now I only have to fast forward through 80% of the show.

Jesus.

I'm a college football fan. I though it was interesting/thread worthy. It would always surprise me if columnists picked an unranked (1-1) team over the #12 team in the coaches poll at home.

Feel free to avoid my obsessive threads in the future.

Sorry dude, you've been found out. You obviously tie your self-worth directly to what these sports columnists say. It is completely un-noteworthy that LSU is no longer a no-brainer pick in Tiger Stadium over the likes of Miss State.

I won't believe you're a well-adjusted person until you start a thread about how negatigers are bringing down the program.

Let's think about what they (The reporters) know......

1) LSU struggled mightily in the 2nd half against a very undermanned UNC team.....and without a Superman like performance from PP we might lose that game.

2) Our offense wasn't able to do jack squat against Vanderbilt...yes VANDERBILT...for over 3 quarters of football and our QB looked like a JR High kid playing QB.

3) State blasted Memphis albeit what they were supposed to do but they did it

4) State barely lost to Auburn who several of these writers would probably put as the 2nd-3rd best team in the west

Seems like a very very legit possibility based on what they have seen....now of course they don't have the level of knowledge that we have but even given our knowledge level I would still put LSU on upset alert

It really doesn't make any sense how an objective observer would actually pick State in this game. Do they have a shot, of course they do. Does every conceivable factor work against State in this game, of course they do. So basically, people are just being fricking haters. frick that newspaper.

Agreed. If the game were in Stark-Vegas, I'd rate it 50/50.

Gameday will be filled with fodder similar to the Shipley McCoy esque stories, as the slate of games this weekend is not that great. The possibility of LSU getting upset by Miss State is probably one of the more newsworthy story lines.

A lot of posters in this thread are smoking the crack rock.

I, too, am critical of our coaching staff, but we are going to dominate MSU.

LSU 31
MSU 10

Arkansas and Georgia was also a tie. The one thing that stands out is they realize the competitiveness of the SEC. The fact is Dan Mullins has Miss. St. earning a little respect and LSU has an image problem right now and a non-existent passing game. It is not a well kept secret about our quarterback situation.

The quarterback situation is of course a concern; however, their situation is inexplicably worse than our own.

Sports betting lines have nothing to do with actual odds of winning the game and they are not a prediction of anything other than how people will bet. The line is just to tease out an even amount of money bet on both teams so that the house profits off the commission and doesn't lose their shirt paying out winnings. They move the line up or down depending on what team is getting more bets.

LSU/Moo State opened at +8.5 and now it's down to +7.5.
https://sportsdirect.usatoday.com/odds/ncaaf-line-history.aspx?eventId=28437
Not much of a move in the line, but the fact the line had do to be adjusted downward indicates that initially more people were laying their money on Moo State. So at least half the betting public is willing to say Moo State will be within striking distance (a touchdown or less) of beating LSU.

Someone once commented to me that an expert is a fool who can't find his way home.

The way I figure, the failure rate of the total of those at USA predicting MSU to win is around 12%. That's a little better than 9 out of 10 correct. Looks good unless you are trying to catch gators.
