HVL was never a point guard and I think it was Kim and Hailey’s intent to get her some experience at PG but when our projected starting pg(forgot her name)went down at the beginning of last season in that high school gym she was kinda forced into playing PG. HVL did not have the foot speed nor could she create her own shot off the dribble and she got torched on defense by faster guards. Glad she is doing well at TCU but just didn’t work out here.

HVL needed to be in top shape to keep up with SEC players. She had planter fasciitis in December and that really hurt her conditioning. She never seemed to get to where she needed to be. She couldn’t keep up on defense and struggled to get open looks on offense.

Being healthy and being in top condition have made a big difference. I’m happy for her, she played hard for us every game

TCU in sweet 16 with remarkable turnaround from last year. HVL big part of that. Big 12 Player of the year.

I mean if you watched any games last year - it just not the right fit. We promised her we'd let her play point to get her here is how the story goes, and outside a small handful of games it was a failed experiment.

Also played through a lingering foot injury last year.

She definitely wasn't a point guard, and additionally, there was only one ball to go around, and it wasn't going to go to her.

She was a star at Louisville, and a star at TCU. Lot of posters here saying she was overrated etc, when in fact, it was just bad chemistry with that team...obviously...when it came to her. Could not be but one queen.

Not as a PG, but this year ad a 2 with Williams at the 3 and Johnson at s 4, shdd Ed would be good. There are plenty of times when we could have used another outside threat.

Now her D would need to be better, but in a short lineup she’d be very good.
