Crowton > Fisher

HC at Nebraska > DC at LSU which is why Pelini took the job he was offered. It's not like he decided to be DC at another school.

Les had the opportunity to go to his dream job last year, and he turned it down. why would this year be any different
That really is not accurate.

I like Miles, but according to all parties, Michigan never actually offered. Would Miles have gone if an offer had been made? Who knows?
The fact is that Lloyd Carr made the situation nearly impossible for either Michigan or Miles to pull the trigger. With UofM likely looking at NINE losses including a home blow out vs OSU, this year is VERY different.

Though IMO there is no way UofM dumps RichRod after one season, another like this one and he'll be out. That would make for an entirely different landscape in terms of Les leaving LSU.

the maize and blue boosters don't like the "spread", they have enough money to pay the buyout, but only if Les is there guy...

UM has had the worst season in UM HISTORY....not acceptable, one or two games under 500 would have saved his job but not 6 games under...

Russell Shep said he would be a tiger as long as the staff remains in tact, watch what you wish for, as he will be our next heisman candidate! Long-Live-Les, but frick the DC's!

I agree - there is no way they fire RichFraud after 1 season, but he has done a piss poor job and has shown the world that he's really not that great a coach.

Then again, would Miles even go if offered the job there? He looks damn strong in the white hat.

After his redshirt season and watching JLee for 2 years, I hope you are right.

A. Michigan isn't gonna can RR until at least after his third year, at the earliest, unless they get stuck on two or three Wins again next Fall.

B. I don't believe that they offered Miles the job last year, just interviewed him..imho. But he would rate much higher this next time, than his detractor faction at UM did in holding him back, with this next UM opening.

C. If they do come for Coach Miles, of whom I am generally happy with, as long as he keeps an upper-echelon to elite-level OC and DC..of which he has a void with his second attempt at a Bill Clayesque move to LSU, in which he accomplished by giving it to Malleveto.

D. LSU makes a move for Peterson, Davis, Kelly,etc..and they become the third-straight LSU HC to win a BCS crown, forever cementing LSU in NCAA lore ala the Miami Canes of the last twenty years..aka it's more about the Program not necessarily the HC.

Regardless, the most important thing for Miles this next year at LSU, is a move towards John Chavis, Dick Bumpas, Jon Tenuta, Ellis Johnson,etc..and to get LSU's Defense playing competent, sound, and fast again.

the reason he will not bring a nfl caliber d coor is because he wants total control, he wants to be the DECEIDER. I am not saying he is insecure. But he seems like the type that does not want to bump heads with people that know more then him. Fisher gone. Pelini gone. Crowton may be different in that they have a special relationship. He is stuborn and has it in his mind that he CAN make this work.

Michigan has a long history of being quick on the trigger with their coaches.
