"All the guys were helpful: Zach, Stephen, Jerrard......can't wait to play with those guys, it's going to be special."

"I can fit into any offense, I can play under center, play the shotgun, roll out and run the ball"

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM AND JERRARD PLAY

Sounded like a humble and well manored person ..I was surprised that he said he was going to be at home when LSU plays Bama.

Paraphrased of course, so excuse the typo's, but you get the main points.

Question:Tell us about your first experience down here at an LSU game.

GK:Really an unreal experience. Going onto the field, energetic fans, guys told me I havent seen anything yet, wait for a night game, it's even twice as good.

Question:The pressure of being in the spot, having colleges demand you get on their campus, glad its over?

GK:Very happy im committed somewhere, very blessed, other kids dream of being in the position I'm in, put it in gods hands, very happy with my decision.

Question:What was it like dealing with the LSU staff, SteveK, also inside info about les miles, what was it like the way they handled you.

GK:Did a great job, let me do whatever I want, talked to me everyday, hand written letters everday, humble and special to my parents. One thing that caught my attention, they were regular guys, think of les miles as one of the best coaches in america but very humble and regular guy.

Question:Whats it been like for you looking at the depth chart, finding your role in the lsu offense.

GK:Sat in QB meeting, it was awesome, SteveK did a great job Mett, Stephen, and Jerrad, being around them everyday is going to be special, just being apart of lsu will be special.

Question:Influence of SteveK on your recruitment, SteveK diagnosed with Parkinsons, what his role would be, when the season ended up, getting you on campus, relationship you forged with SK.

GK:One thing about SK is he never gave up on me. Even when I committed to UI sent me handwritten letters, SK is the man, great coach, talk to him a lot about his health, he'll keep coaching as long as he can. Great guy.

Question:Early Enrollee, two redshirts already on campus and Mett. alot of returning pieces. What kind of style do you see yourself fitting into. more of a pro style offense. What do you think is the most successful way for you to get some playing time.

GK:I can go under center, roll out, shotgun, do whatever I can, gonna do whatever they want. Bring a hard working attitude and go after it.

Question:Reaction of your family? Distance away gave you some pause?

GK:Distance never really mattered as long as I had that gut feeling, the day after my official visit I said this is the place for me, my parents made me go other places, and that this is a once in a lifetime chance. But I still wanted to go to LSU, woke up on this past Friday, told my parents I'm done visting, I'm going to LSU.

Question:Give us an insight into this. Whats it like to be gunner kiel in the center of this hurricane?

GK:Its been really incredible, i have friends come up to me and tell me they heard someone in Tennessee talking about me. Its unreal, im just a normal kid. Blessed to have such a great life.

Question:Couple more questions for you Gunner then we'll let you get out of here. what about the culture, how big of an influence lsu football has on the people of Louisiana. Something that excites you about the culture of the SEC and LSU, it's not a basketball state like Indiana?

GK:And I love that about Louisiana, my family is big football people. Seeing so many people into it, watching them interact and see them get excited, excited me. Those fans are so great and humble, if you ask for directions they'll take you there, people in Baton Rouge are nice, and I can't wait for them to be my second family.

Question:Last question, where you gonna be at on Jan 9th?

GK:Going to be home with my family enjoying my last week before the big move.

Question:Something tells me there'll be some purple and gold in Columbus, Indiana.

GK:(laughter) Yes sir, yes sir.

----------------------Done

Very nice kid, and very well spoken. Can't wait to have him here on campus.

I love that he said he told his parents he wanted to go to LSU right after his official visit here.
