I worked with a few gumps at my last job and I dont know if they fit the bill of average gump, but they were much more pleasant to work with during college football season than the aubbie and pig fans!

My boss is from Alabama and graduated from there. She is pretty nice most of the time though. I'd have to say that she is one of my favorite all time bosses.

This morning she said that we almost match. (both wearing a peachy pink shirt, and I said, NOT UNDERNEATH and ripped open my shirt displaying my favorite LSU River Road Tiger t-shirt. I guess you had to be there....it was pretty funny!

oh, believe me, i could handle friendly stabs. but he's going waaaaaaay beyond that. him talking about alabama being God's country in that irritating accent.

For the original game, I accidentally destroyed a hand drawn picture of Bear Bryant in my coworkers office. I taped Les Miles face to it, and didn't realize the damn frame had no glass on it - eg, the taped Les Miles face went right on the drawing and could not be removed....

The gumps I work with do NOT fit the stereotypical asswipes dominating the SECrant these days. One is an attorney (female, yes she's hot) and very rational, mild-mannered, etc. Very pleasant to talk with, even about football.

The guy here is also very rational, nice to talk with even about this game and football in general.

No jackass Bammers here. Those morons run around in public here, though. They fit the bill: car plastered with every imaginable Bama magnet, flags flying on the car, head to toe red EVERY day of the week and obnoxious if they talk at all....appear to walk right out of the trailer park.

I work with one who has decorated her entire cube with bama shite. Including draping a huge gumptastic flag on the outside of her cubicle wall. It takes everything in my soul not to rub my arse on her flag. I may post a pic...

I don't work "with" as much as an outside vendor that the company and I deal with is a Bama fan. But your description of taking it too far nails the way he has been acting.

After the first game, he was very quiet and very humbled. As soon as it was announced that Bama was playing the rematch, his tone went from friendly sports rivalry as fans to downright rude about it.

This is why I'm curious as to how the mix is gonna be in the quarter this weekend.

Had one working with us. Got fired from here for being a typical hillbilly. I used to love giving him shite because he was one of these "GREAT" Bama fans, but could only name about four or five players on the team. I pretty sure he would get confused as to who was the current coach. Berr Bryyynt or Neck Saben. This cat was a true Bamer. About two months after he left, I started getting calls from collection agencies on my office phone for non payment on his truck. Then I heard from his current supervisor that he was kicked out his trailer for not paying rent. The land lord is his brother-in-law.

We have a gump in our IT department. He is not over the top, but does things on the sly. For instance:

The day before we played bama, he re-routed the tigerdroppings website to a bama fanbased website and kept it this way all day.
