Let's be honest, when Jay was hired, he wasn't a name that was on most fans radars. I went to the introduction at the Box. I liked what he had to say. We thought that it would be one of the names with more ties to LSU (Bianco, Godwin, one of those types). I personally did not want Corbin or Vitello. I didn't think Bianco was ready for the pressure of LSU. Honestly thought it would be Godwin then they showed us this guy coming from Arizona. He has impressed me over the past 4 years.

Does anyone have a article that he posted about LSU sports that ended up being correct?

There is so much dumb in that article, that it was hard to pick the most dumb line, but I think this may be it:

“Vanderbilt is to college baseball what Alabama is to college football”

Do what?

It seems GG was right about BK and Sunbelt Billy.

This might be the most ridiculously inaccurate sentence in the history of sports journalism. At the time, we had six national championships to their two.

And since then, In four seasons, Johnson has matched their entire existence.

BK is 2-1 head to head. BK is 29-11 and Napier is 19-19 overall at their respective schools

But yeah, ok

Never have respected that Douchebag. Seems to bash LSU at every opportunity. His opinions about sports are way off base and I never have understood how he has a job.

If you want to see something that is incredible, watch JJs introduction at LSU. He tells you exactly what he is going to do. He says that his team will be prepared to play at the highest levels. If LSU is down 4-3 in the ninth they will have the skills and confidence to win that game. His speech is amazing to hear.

Neither was Nick Saban.

After Woodward interviewed Johnson, he told people that "he had just interviewed the next Nick Saban of college baseball."
