I've gotta think this is directly about CMC because Guice seems directing it solely at him. I mean yes, CMC is his OC, but Tommie is his direct position coach and There's no mention of the head coach either. This was im my hypothesis a direct message to Canada, but what do I know. If the players learned something like CMC is gone, then expect the media to break it very quickly. If it was simply Guice singling out CMC to say thanks, then it was a strange way to go about it, though it's very possible.

don't know about the wealth situation but I've heard he went to live with one of his teachers, that alone is kind of sketchy to me unless they also "adopted" some other under-privileged kids that did not look like 4-5 star D-1 potential athletes
