I love Guice as much as the next guy, but as a running back it would just be irresponsible on his part to come back.

I would love him to comeback, it’s a pipe dream, I know, but I’d think Kevin Faulk should be in line first for a statue.

How? Faulk had a kid and came from nothing, came back and had an amazing NFL career.
I know it’s a very low chance he comes back, but to call it irresponsible is a reach.

Although it's different circumstances, Nick Chubb seemed to not regret his decision to return.

i dont know about the statue of faulk, but i would take him again over any running back including LF7. This board wont agree because it is mostly kids on here who dont remember those days. He was frickin unreal

I was referring to your comment about a Guice statue. Just meant Faulk would be in line first.
Faulk was the best we’ve ever seen. Guice has a chance to do something special though as well.

Not really. Most NFL RB's don't get to a 3rd contract. It won't much matter if he get's his 2nd contract at age 25 or 26. The only issue is the risk of injury.

When you're a RB and it's your time to go, you go. If he were projected to go in the mid rounds or something, then that's an argument to stay.

He comes back and rips his knee apart next year, no one at LSU is going to do anything for him.

He's worked for this, invested in himself, time to cash his ticket in.

Oh I totally agree. I’m just not one to question someone’s life decision. He comes back and I’ll be excited for him. For everything he’ll have the opportunity to accomplish.
Money comes and goes, but your name stays in the history books forever.
Whatever he decides will be okay with all of us.
Kid has a great future in whatever he decides.

Sort of like saying the "only risks" to unprotected sex are pregnancy and STDs.

True.

If it’s all about the money for Guice and getting his career started I don’t think you’ll find a person who disagrees with that.

If he wants to come back, you'll have people calling him dumb.

I think it’s best if he declares, but I’m not him. Dude might like college and wants to accomplish more. Who knows.

The only thing that gives me hope is the rich family that adopted him. Just peruse through his instagram, he's not hurting for anything. He was wearing $1500 Louboutin shoes to the Citrus Bowl. He wears a $30k riolex watch. He drives a nice car. He's on vacation right now in Park City skiing. The dude lives well, to put it simply. He also seems to genuinely love being a college student. I still think there's a 90% he declares because of the position he plays, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities he comes back

Rookie contracts were different then. Plus, running backs were more prominent and had higher value.

Faulk was a projected back end of the first round pick after his junior year with little room to really improve his stock by coming back. He came back to earn his degree, which is admirable.
