Are you fuk's for real? I don't know shite about being a qb, but I can see that everything he is saying is true. He aint hating on no one. He's being real. Lee keeps on throwing like that, we lose to Miss ST. and more.
You're right, the sky is falling.

I did not see/hear Bowser's comments regarding Lee, nor do I care what they were.
I have watched a number of games in which Bowser was doing the telecast, and he is among the worst analyst I have ever seen.

And? Everything he said was true.

Bowser's actually pretty good, and his commentary on Lee was completely accurate (certainly more so than Lee's passes).
One thing Bowser mentioned that I hadn't noticed (and which was confirmed in the replays), was how Lee would turn away from his pass (instead of following through) to prepare for the hit he was about to take.
I don't think this should be a debate over who's best, Lee or Jefferson. It's only a matter of what Lee needs to do to improve. He's the horse we're riding now, whether we like it or not.
Bottom line is that Lee does need to improve. I like the guy -- his moxie and his character, and his emerging leadership skills. (I loved it when he got in the face of the Oregon player after the QB sneak.)
But he needs to build on that, he needs to stand tall in the pocket, take his hits and follow through on his throws. He needs to be more decisive.
He needs to get over the Pick6 syndrome.
The good news is that he's got a real confidence builder coming up Saturday, and he needs to take advantage of it.

no doubt fightingtiger, those few little passes he missed in the flats had good gains in front of them.... the 5 dropped passes and those few JL missed would easily have added 100 yds to our Offensive stats. the upside is, its easily corrected...

True.... the drops were more damaging than the few missed passes... i believe JL will get better each week, so will the receivers

never has been.. wasnt ever complimentary of MF either.
I know LRollins and I asked him about this once befroe.. He told me and I quote "no comment".

Did he say anything about the 5 passes that hit the Wr in the hands?
Actually, he did. On a couple of the drops he said..."you gotta help your quarterback our, here". Greg Bowser calls it as he sees it. I think he does a great job in his commentary during games.

He is right. 4 years later still throwing off his back foot. We run away with this game if we could just hit a 5 to 10 yard pass. It's called pitch and catch and we need to improve greatly at
Yes because JJ was so great at this.....

GB is a JJ loving mf....that is all that needs to be said really. All of you sitting here saying LSU is in trouble with JL....kind of funny really after watching JJ who could NEVER hit a swing pass in stride in his entire career....all JJ could do was run the ball, and look like a deer in headlights in obvious passing situations.....funny how some forget that.....hell, even the coaches would take him out in obvious passing downs when 3rd and long...in favor of Lee...what did that tell you...with the game on the line????? If a few of those balls had been caught, and the phantom penalty not called on holding....we are sitting here with lee 15-23 and about 190 yards and 1td and 0 int's.....you kids have such knee jerk reactions ...the sky ain't falling.

I was thinking all of the same things that Bowser was saying during the game. Some of Lee's tendencies are troubling, but I thought he did a great job managing the game and he should improve. Let's face it though, he is not going to need to be an all american if our D plays like that all year.

I have had recreational(kids playing against each other in baseball) and professional dealings with Greg and he is defenitely a negative person to certain people.
But what he says about Lee is pretty accurate.

The QBs we have just aren't very good. They will never be very good. They are what they are. They are not going to change miraculously after 5 years in the program. they had extremely poor QB coaching and developed terrible habits. Their coaches either were incapable of fixing these habits or just didn't care. Either way, they are damaged goods. the best we can hope for is they make a few plays and don't turn the ball over stupidly. That is what they are---JJ and Lee. Get used to ti.

I hope JL takes constructive criticism better than his groupies on rant.
Each "alleged" flaw is non-existant, not his fault, not as bad as his predecessor(like this matters), or pointed out by a racist dumbfrick.

Agreed.

In Lee's last two starts, Oregon and La Tech, he's passed for 200 yards combined and was 17-44.
I thought on the whole, Lee did ok vs. Oregon as he seemed to settle down and do better as the game went on.
LSU won and did so without a running threat at QB. Of our 7 scoring drives, 6 started in Oregon territory and so the lack of more offensive yards is not a big deal. imo
I really don't care who starts at QB, I'm pleased as can be with the win, I fully understand it's our 1st game, and I know who we played, but I saw little difference in our passing game results from what I have seen in much of the last 3 seasons.
Hopefully, as the season moves along, we will become much more effective throwing the ball.
