Get to LSU by 11 am. Parking will be a nightmare but that’s how it goes.

Wear your GSU shirt and a smile and wander around the tailgating, which is spread across campus. Introduce yourself with a hearty handshake and laugh and you’ll be welcomed with beer and food.

Say “F. King sucks!” And you’ll get extra everything. (He’s the very unpopular president of LSU)

PS: hat and sunscreen!!

For Friday lunch go to Parrains on Perkins Rd, only a few miles from Campus.

Does Chris Blair know you're making the trip?

You may want to think about adding an extra day. You can easily burn a whole day at El Cid without even realizing it.

You wouldn't happen to know the best place to get an Oyster Poboy would you?

Not sure if the link will work but it gives you a look at what type of offense we run, for the folks that were asking about the option or at least what version we currently run.

You guys will score at will against us and will score fast. I am hoping we can move the ball a few yards at a time, eat up clock, keep your offense off the field. 49-3 (maybe we see the endzone at the end of the game if your 5th string gets some playing time.)

Like everyone says hit the chimes early for a good meal and great beer on tap the just walk around and take in the tailgating scene. Tiger fans love being generous hosts(especially to non SEC fans) so just ask about the food you see and be prepared to eat and drink all day. I like the tailgating scene around parade grounds and Indian mounds.

Walk around and experience the tailgating. Be friendly, wear your school colors, & LSU fans will ply you with food & booze. Have a good time

If you want a good cheap eats option, the Cajun Turkey Poboy at American(AM) Market is awesome.

Be prepared to sweat. Aug 31 will be hot. Getting on campus early to enjoy the atmosphere means you will be in heat almost 12 hours.
The team goes down the hill a couple hours before kickoff; the band a few minutes later. A timeline will be posted a couple days before.
New Orleans on Thursday...one dinner...so hard to choose. Consider Mr. B’s, K-Paul’s, Mandina’s or Drago’s. Go to Parkway for lunch on Friday before heading to BR.

While many will complain our tailgate scene isn’t what it used to be, it’s still the best by far!

On campus I recommend the quad and the bell tower for sure. A walk from the quad to the new Patrick F. Taylor Hall (PFT) shows a decent amount of the campus. PFT is the engineering school and a walk through it is pretty awesome if you can get in. The first floor has glass walled labs which are cool to look at. You're also right next to the business school which is a cool building as well. From there you're not far from the athletic venues and/or easy parking access. Across the campus has the indian mounds and the amphitheater which are worth a visit as well.

Not true if you are 25 or younger. If you are, go to Fred's in Tigerland, you won't regret it. Honestly might still enjoy it if you're older and feeling a little reckless
