How was Mathieu not All-SEC in 2010? He came out in that UNC game making plays Day 1 and also had a huge bowl game against A&M that year. Guess bowl games come later than the voting but would have assumed his 2010 season was pretty good too, nothing like 2011 but remember him blitzing off the edge as a true freshman

Tyrann had a good stat line but didn’t start in 2010, so that couldn’t have helped. And there were 2 CBs arguably better than him on his own team in Pat Pete and Mo.

Why did he redshirt? Anyone know?
When was the last good corner we had redshirt their first year?
Feel they’ve all gotten in the field as true freshman.
I find it interesting is all.

I was really worried after losing Tre White to the draft last year- that we wouldn't have a solid lockdown corner to take away Tre's half of the field. I was wrong to worry, in hindsight. Greedy is a bona fide badarse.

Probably because we had six CBs and Nickle Backs who could play.
